Unfortunately, I’ve had quite a negative experience at this cafe when visiting Tallinn. My friends and I entered the cafe around 3 pm on July 15th to learn that no one was interested in serving us. No one greeted us and no one showed us to a table, we had to find one ourselves. We sat down and were hoping to get a menu or have someone approach us, but the lady and a young man at the bar were talking to each other with no desire to pay attention to us. We waited for a minute, two, three... We almost started placing bets on how long it will take the waiter and the manager (I assume that’s who they were to approach us). After a while we gave up and asked loudly if it’s possible to get a menu. The lady looked at us with indifference and stated “you have to get a menu yourself here”. The young fellow didn’t do anything. One of my friends stood up, walked to the bar and grabbed one of the menus, but as she came back we desired we don’t wait to eat here. We have the menu back and proceeded to leaving. Me, being the always-super-polite person I am, wished the staff a nice day and got silence in return. This was quite a shame, as this place has a good rating and the desserts case looked amazing. What was missing was any sort of service... oh, and customers too - there was NO ONE else at the restaurant which doesn’t surprise me.
I feel bad for the owner. They deserve to have a team of nice people who don’t run the business into the ground.
Also, I’m not sure if this is important, but we are a group of young females. I have no clue if the waiter & manager had no interest in serving us due to thinking we won’t order much, but we were quite hungry and ended up ordering a lot of food and drinks at a different place. I can’t be sure it was a...
Read moreI would give it a negative star if I could. Came after a long and stressfull day to relax, do some work and eat some comfort food, went to order and explained the person taking order that I am a vegetarian and asked what on the menu I can have, she told me items with T symbol. I chose a vegetarian burger and double checked that it's vegetarian and that it's available. 20 min later my food arrived, looked great and even though the patty inside looked and smelt a little funny, I assumed it's their version of vegetarian patty using mushrooms etc. I took a little bite and felt really strange, I called the server to check to found out I have been served a beef burger (cow meat) I have never eaten cow meat in my life and I am 37, imagine my shock, and disgust. They offered me a simple sorry and another burger instead, there was no empathy and real understanding of feeding a vegetarian meat and especially to someone who has never touched cow meat due to his cultural and religious beliefs. Dissappointment is an understatement. This experience truly made me sick physically, mentally and...
Read moreWaited our breakfast for 2 hours, one waitress wasn’t polite (who brought food to everyone). When we asked where is our food, she replayed that she doesn’t know and didn’t try to solve our problem. Other waitress apologized, she was very polite and said that kitchen lost our order, so we will need to wait another 15 min. Than the first waitress came after couple of minutes and bring to us our meals, but my omlet (which suposed to be with spinatch), was with ham(I don’ eat meat). We were very disapointed and angry. We were very polite and waited very long for our meals, tried to ask polite, but the worst and the sadesst thing was, that the fist waitress didn’t try to solve our problem and was very rude to us. Asked for refund for two times, but every time stuff apologized and we needed to wait...
