If ever one could seek to find a typical Cannes villa from days gone by, filled with beautiful French art and large prints of Hollywood icons in all their splendour, gorgeous rooms with balconies surrounded by an array of magnificent flowers, the gardens lit by strategically placed lighting, and then have the amazing good fortune to actually stay in this wonderful place, I think we would all believe we were in Paradise. But this Shangri-la really does exist, set just a ten minute walk from the seafront, the famous promenade of Le Croisette, and five minutes from the main shopping street in Cannes. Villa Claudia. Remember the name and please, please ensure you book a stay there. We spent a week there and my wife cried her eyes out as we drove away at the end. Villa Claudia is perfect and unmissable and I say that as someone who has visited 109 countries. The family who run Villa Claudia and staff are amazing and we feel we have friends for life. But the owner, Christoph, is in a totally different class. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He collects fresh bread in the early hours, serves a stunning breakfast to guests and is there to share a glass or two of wine at 10pm. A truly lovely and wonderful person. But please don't just take our word for it. Find out for yourself. It will be the best...
Read moreI found this boutique hotel through reviews in july and it was the first time me and my family wanted to stay in a villa rather than a normal hotel. As soon as , we arrived kind and warm owner Monsieur Christophe welcomed us, it was quiet unusual to me because normally owners do not pay attention much to their guests. He is very professional, sweet and warm person. We booked two rooms with my family because there was a yacht show for the long weekend. When you enter the room, you feel like you are at home which was marvelous !!! From front office team Victor and Natalie was very helpful especially i had many conversations with Victor he was gentle and caring employee in the hotel. Every morning, we woke up with birds sounds and we were having a great breakfast without any rush which was perfect for me. Since i am in the hotel business as well, from this perspective i would highly recommend this villa to everyone. They are doing their best to please the guests. They have an amazing housekeeper lady she cleans the rooms like its her house , i appreciated that to her. If we come back next year again , without my eyes open i will stay at their facility again.
Merci beaucoup pour tout :) Ps: Christophe you are a great manager and owner please do not quit !

Read moreUpon arrival, we had the most wonderful welcome from Claudia (not the villa's namesake!) who showed us our suite and provided us with a map of Cannes and highlighted the different attractions including restaurants and cafes. The suite is light, spacious and airy and also has the benefit of air conditioning. This room has a large balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. It was good to have a courtesy tray and an expresso machine. The bathroom is functional with a bath and shower over. It would have been preferable to have a glass enclosure rather than curtains but that is just personal preference. Christophe was always available to welcome us to breakfast in the morning and bid us good night after an evening in Cannes. A most charming host who went out of his way to make us feel special. We enjoyed a tasty continental breakfast each morning in the small breakfast room which is adorned with beautiful black and white photos of Claudia Cardinale. The hotel is a six minute walk from the railway station and a similar walk or less to a wealth of restaurants. The beaches are a few minutes further. We travelled to Cannes by car but the villa has an ample car park for those travelling by car. We loved our time at...
