After driving all day we arrived to Cannes in the evening, had really hard time finding parking in the area, finally got to the hotel just to find out that pets are not allowed though it’s indicated otherwise on internet. The receptionist gave us an option to pay 50€ pet fee, since us and our dog were tired decided to pay and stay for the night. Our room on the 2nd floor was very small, which would not be big deal but it also did not have any ventilation, the thermostat was set to off position and even fan only option was not available. After suffocating night, panting dog and sweaty us ran away from the place early morning. I am giving two stars because of the receptionist, she was nice and seemed to be sorry for us too.
April 25 edit to my original review after receiving response from the owner: Deflecting input from guests will not help to make any improvements to ibis Cannes Center, hot small room where one can't even turn on the fan could potentially become health safety issue for someone with underlining conditions. Changing rating to one star just to let others know that I highly recommend to avoid stay...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel around 4 nights. As a location, I was very happy with its convenient place. It was very close to market, train - bus station and market and fashion street and seaside. Room was very comfortable. They did not provide basic dental set and lotion but except this room was perfectly ok to only sleep. I did not have any view. It was basically surrouanded by street. Front desk employees were so kind and helpful for concierge services. I loved the breakfast and choices; they serve 2 kinds of cornflexes, 2 kinds of cakes, pancake or crepes, jams, honey, maple syrup, 2 kinds of cheeses, yogurts and some additional fruit to make your own fruit yogurt, varieties of tea bags but all of them were super nice. Coffee machine was nor very nice coffee source.. I rahter have filter coffee which is affordable for this hotel I guess. There were two- three kinds of breads. Croissants etc. I enjoyes my breakfast althought it is from 7- 10 am. as short :) ||||Good open buffet breakfast!! ||Good location! ||Good team members!...
Read moreI feel like many of the negative reviews are from people who had unrealistic expectations and booked the wrong kind of hotel.
This is not a resort. This is not a luxury hotel. This is not high-end. It's a simple room in an excellent location. The train station is about a 7 minute walk, and there are dozens of restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk. And even though it's located in the middle of everything, the soundproofing in the rooms is sufficient that it was very quiet at night.
The room has intelligently arranged storage, and the bed is comfortable. Bathroom is just large enough. Yet everything is clean, and the front desk is always happy to help you.
You can happily pay 4x the price or more for a posh hotel on the Croisette, and that's your choice, but your ibis is perfectly fine if you're planning to actually leave your room and...
