La Cocotte Riviera — Restaurant in Grasse

I came here for dinner with a group of people during Cannes film festival, and was met with flavors and hospitality that I didn't expect to experience in France.

we ordered several starters for the table, and though we each ordered our individual entrees, the food was so delicious, we each insisted that the other try it. by the end of the night, I believe that we'd ordered/tried a little less than half of the menu, including some of the fresh juices/drinks.

the owner was such a gracious host, especially considering how large of a group we were (we took up nearly one side of the restaurant). each dish prepared with love, she took the time to explain where there were questions.

the restaurant is cozy, feeling like home. the details of the vessels being this nice, wood grain monogrammed with the restaurant's name, menus and placemats just all felt very intentional.

there were people in our party that wound up eating here multiple times during our trip, and i, myself am looking forward to traveling back to Cannes, to experience La Cocotte...

If you’re ever in Cannes, do yourself and your tastebuds a favor by visiting La Cocotte Riviera! Seriously the food was so amazing we opened and closed out our trip in Cannes with dinner here.

You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but we ordered the Pastelinettes (similar to empanadas) and Pankonettes (crispy fried shrimp) for starters. For our entrees we tried the braised fish, the lamb & the seafood pasta. Everything was uniquely seasoned and so flavorful it had our tastebuds dancing from the first bite to the last!!

We were also introduced to a new wine, Monbazillac, which complemented our meals so well.

One of the best cuisine that I’ve tasted in all of Cannes and Côte d’Azur. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere everything is done to make you enjoy your experience while you are enjoying your fresh spicy food. My first time there, the owner welcomed my friends and I with a big smile, she went above and beyond to serve us our meals and make sure our needs were met.
