On arriving at the La Loggia, we could not find the reception at all until a guest had pointed out it was on the other side of the street in another hotel! The receptionist was very helpful and showed us to the room, even stopping to help us with our luggage. Her English was nonexistent; therefore knowledge of French is necessary. I cannot fault in any way the service; she was kind, friendly and provided us with Maps and ideas for our stay in Deauville. ||We were given an inventory on our entrance to the room so that we may tick off what items were left by the previous owners and what items the management assumed we might steal on our departure. Since this form was written in crude English, it was practically impossible to fill it out coherently as we could not stop laughing at items such ‘Burn out Bread’, ‘Wet Salad bits’ and ‘Shooting Cork’. It took us a bit longer to find these items and rewrite them as ‘Toaster, Salad Thongs and Corkscrew. We handed the form back in within the 24hours they requested and they thought nothing more of it.|| The room is very small, and persons ordering for groups over three people must be warned that once the double bed is taken, everyone else gets a pull out canapé or a single convertible sofa. The room is compact and the utilities are basic. Expect no soap, no toilet roll, no toiletries or any form of additional extras. Towels and fresh sheets are however provided. You pay the rent on a room, that’s about it. The dining table is lacking in seats for more than two persons, indicative that the rooms are not meant for groups of three or more. Considering we requested a three to four person apartment, this was ridiculous. ||The decor was clean and pleasant and the bathroom was split from the toilet so it was extra convenient for multiple guests. The air conditioning was straightforward, by which it was always blowing hot air during our summer break. The windows opened up onto the street, however I should mention that local society outside during the evening was raucous and best not interpreted to non French speakers. The early morning alarm call was the galloping of horses being driven down the street by the local polo club and bins clattering around in the doorways.||Parking is an absolute mission and directly outside the hotel you would need to pay. It’s not cheap either. You can park your car for free down the road along with everyone else but expect to find a space on the other side of town. The hotel does have its own parking apparently but we didn't reserve a space because this was not advertised for us to do so. Therefore the limited spaces were full when we arrived. ||Residence La Loggia is very charming and serves as nice clean apartment for a brief holiday. It is a no frills accommodation that is loosely associated with the hotel next door. If you are looking for budget apartments and have the space in your luggage for those home comforts, this residence is suitable. For those booking online, please make sure you have understood the confirmation voucher. It either tells you that you’ve paid up or that you need to settle up on your arrival. This saves unnecessary arguing on arrival.||I found my stay pleasant and enjoyable, however this residence cannot decide whether it’s a hotel or an independent apartment, therefore our...
Ahurissant ! Très mauvaise expérience. À...
Read moreA disgraceful experience. We were moved from our room at 11pm bwcause the toilet did not work. The new room stank of cigarette smoke. There was no apology & no discount & the manager simply walked away when we complained, to the embarrassment of her staff. Don't waste money on a stay here unless you wish to be treated...
