A restaurant is not only about food but service and respect t to it's clients. I will name this review : Le drakkar avoid like the plague! Prior to starting the review I would like to say to my fellow foodies and travellers that this is a restaurant where you will probably have to fork out over 150 euros for two.....and one would expect some sort of service at this price. Me and pregnant wife made a reservation 24 hours in advance for a table for two at the restaurant premises itself. Table Number 46 to be precise. Upon reaching the restaurant at 8 o clock sharp the day if the booking the table was taken by other guests. I can understand hick ups.... Not disrespect.
Upon inquiry with the staff on why we did not have THE table for 2 we booked in advance at the restaurant itself with the manager. They simply told us that this was not their fault and that some other staff might have done the booking. I was then greeted by the manager a French lady who treated us with such dedain and disrespect! She first totally disregarded our initial booking and then offered another table. We had specifically reserved table 46 based on the layout for my pregnant wife. Absolutely no apologies or sense of customer service for what is supposed to be fine dining. When I refused she clearly asked her staff not to speak with us if we were not happy and to go elsewhere.
To the owner of the restaurant I would like to give my sincere feedback : we all have earned our money the hard way and when spending it at such high prices I believe that we should be treated with respect. I myself treat my time as a valuable commodity I have never written a bad review about a restaurant in my life and today thanks to your staff this is my first. The service is at best to the level of a shawarma joint!
So many other options in deauville at much cheaper prices..... Drakkar simply overrated and rude...
Read moreI never leave any reviews on internet, but because of our terrible experience here at this restaurant, I feel I should share our experience with others, so that other people could benefit from our reviews. Our family of four came to this restaurant for dinner during our vacation in Normandy. We have been served terribly at this restaurant, well actually there has been NO SERVICE to us! I sat there and watched our waiter serving his other tables with drinks, food, services like pouring the water, checking on them, while totally ignoring us at our table! We ordered a large bottle of sparkling water for the table, he just carelessly dropped the bottle at our table while I watched him pouring water to his other tables. All other tables were served with bread, but we were not until I raised my hand for a long time and asked if he could bring some bread to us. Our waiter never stopped by our table to check on us before, during or after our two-hour dinner there. My older son ordered a Lamb chop MEDIUM, but was brought a RARE Lamb chop. Again, our waiter never checked on us, we had to wait and grabbed another staff who were passing by our table to ask for help. When they were clearing plates from our table, they spilled the vinegar and olive oil all over my younger son’s shorts without any apologies and just totally ignored it! If I could think of any reason why we were treated so badly at this restaurant, it could be that we were the ONLY ASIANS sitting in the entire restaurant inside and outside! I would never return to this restaurant and will NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone who expects to be equally served and respected! If you are looking to be equally served and respected at a restaurant,...
