This establishments responses to negative reviews call them “intentions to harm the establishment” instead of learning from mistakes and apologizing. Very rude, incredibly snappy.
If anybody was there to see, because you have the incorrect and biased accounts of what happened, you will see hostility and how we were unwelcome. We had no bad behavior when we came and we were not given a good chance to say hello as the first thing we were approached with was hostility from the madam and embarrassment for nothing in front of many people. And we still greeted back.
I understand defending your establishment, as it looked very lovely when you have good employees working that shift, but you have NO right to attack us as you probably did not do with other people entering. You say you greeted us, and we greeted back. But then you say we did not greet. Simply don’t speak if you do not know.
Thank you. It is of no worth to hear a response from you because your establishment is not remorseful of wrongdoings and wrong approaches. Your employee Alice was incorrect in her approach to us. This is not only about being foreigners, but a lack of professionalism. If you expect reservations and to treat all guests that did book reservations, then make it CLEAR to all how you want us to make it. Put a reservation stand outside and make an employee watch over it so they can ask questions professionally there. Not berate us when we do not see one and we think we have to stand and wait for service at a table.
No matter how hard your entitlement super cedes itself, you will always be at fault, you will always be wrong. Stay mad at yourself and find some love in your life, all of these reviews are true to heart and the only reason why your restaurant is going to be tarnished is because of your actions. You have no remorse, you don’t listen to your customers issues and instead berate them on the behalf of yourself thinking you’re right. I don’t know if this is the anger you have from the failure of not succeeding in business but I hope you find God and love in your life, you wouldn’t act like this if you had...
Read moreI don’t typically make reviews when I travel about bad experiences, because when you are a foreigner, the locals do not appreciate you and I understand because it is similar in my home country. It is in every country. But the madam today did it in a way for the entire restaurant to hear and it was highly inappropriate and unprofessional, as well as rude. She tried to create a compromise to save herself in hopes of this review, but her mannerisms were rude and unwelcoming, already ruining our hefty appetites, as well as a child’s. No, we did not have a reservation, no, we were not even actually seated at the table when she confronted us. We were simply waiting for them and only the little kiddo sat down because she was very tired and hungry. See, I understand bad days and customer frustration, as I have had two food service jobs, but I have not lashed out to customers like that. I have been polite as the lady there today was not. So if you are a foreigner, I do not advise to visit this place. Especially without reservation or when that madam is working. I have read other good reviews about other welcoming staff and I wish my family could have gotten that experience today. The madam said “Thank you!” as she knew she successfully kicked hungry foreigners out. You should visit Les Planches instead, my...
Read moreMy experience at this restaurant wasn't as great as the reviews. Maybe because we came late and the manager was in a rush to leave. They started cleaning up while we were eating and then served us the bill on the table while we were finishing up our desserts. It would have been better not to be offered a seat in the first place instead of rushing us through our menu. But since the food was good it got a 3 star review. The huitre as starters were good and "fresh". The main dish was a tuna steak that was to me perfectly cooked however needed a bit more seasoning and the ratatouille next to it was overwhelming a lot of tomato paste and needed some salt and flavors. The creme brulee was good but not the best one i ve ever had. As far as portions and price its very acceptable considering the luxurious style of deauville. Overall, kindly i will rate this as an average restaurant that i wouldn't wana...
