MONOPRIX — Local services in Paris

I wish I could give -5 stars instead of this 1 star.

I've been coming to this branch for 3 years nearly every month, because they have good range of products.

I am never e-v-e-r setting foot in any Monoprix store or ordering from their online store after the horrendous treatment I received today.

I will make spreading the word my mission so that everyone knows what kind of horrible customer service standards they're upholding in 2023, at times when these kind of horrible customer mistreatments can break and make your businesses reputation.

First of, educate your security staff on how to engage with clients, and distinguish the shoplifters from regular customers.

I came and purchased skincare and some food products totalling to 40-50 euros. As I was leaving the food checkout, the security guard stopped me with a very rude attitude, no please, no excuse me, no good day. I was taken a back from this. Then he took his time, pretending some products were extra, completely ignoring the receipts in front of him. How convenient....

Then his other 2 rude colleagues came and noticed (finally) the receipt was standing in front of them. No apology, no have a good day. As all consumers, you always get to ask about having your bags checked. But never in my life, I never been put in this situation before. Never encountered such rude behaviour, and attitude.

You lost a very good customer. Hope to never see your rude...

The smell is fishy but thats how fresh-ish seafood goes! There are many potential thieves here who put their shoppings in their opaque personal trolley bags and at the cashier, take them out one by one. Nobody checks to see whether there are still items hidden in their bags. Most thieves are opportunistic therefore with such lax attitude of shop attendants there will be a lot of loss feom stealing customers. That adds to the costs of inncent customers. I always haye these (mostly) women who look quite fine doing that. I am sure these women ate robbing the shop blind. And I am the indirect victim because of the cost transferred on to me.
