The location of Hotel le Parisis is excellent, with the Eiffel Tower within walking distance and plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable, and considering the space limitations typical in central Paris, the hotel manages to provide an elegant and cozy atmosphere.
While the hotel itself was comfortable, my experience was significantly impacted by misinformation regarding parking.
Context and Issues I specifically booked this hotel through Booking.com after filtering for properties with parking, as I was driving to Paris. The hotel listing confirmed parking availability, which was essential for my choice.
Upon entering France, I contacted the hotel to confirm parking details, only to be informed that their parking lot was fully booked. The hotel assured me that street parking was available nearby at a rate of €4 per hour, with free parking at night and on Sundays, and suggested a nearby paid parking option as an alternative.
Following these instructions, I parked on the street across from the hotel on Saturday afternoon, expecting the €4 hourly rate. However, the actual rate was €18 per hour, resulting in an unexpected expense of €96 for less than 24 hours.
Additionally, as per the hotel’s guidance, I left my car parked on the street on Sunday, thinking it would be free. To my dismay, I discovered that my car had been towed due to a holiday market that sets up on that street every Sunday morning. This crucial detail was not communicated by the hotel. Retrieving my car cost me €179 in fines, for a total parking-related expense of €275 during a two-night stay.
Final Thoughts While the hotel’s location and comfort were as advertised, the misleading parking information has left a lasting negative impression. I would certainly recommend this hotel to those traveling to Paris by public transportation, but cannot recommend it for those traveling by car, as you may find yourself facing significant, unanticipated issues.
I hope this review helps others make an informed decision when considering Le Parisis-Paris...

Read moreI didn’t not like this hotel BUT I did have a few quite a few issues for a 4 Star hotel. Given the issues I did have I wouldn’t have the room I had again. My room was a double and it was a small double, fortunately I was on my own. The design of the room was not well laid out e.g. the mirror was not near a chair and the chairs were heavy to move and would then block the exit so it wasn’t easy to dry my hair as I had to kneel on the floor...getting a bit old for that! There was no dressing table. I wouldn’t have wanted to do that for more than the 3 nights I was there. The bathroom needs attention as there was rotten wood and black mould in one corner of the door that was bad and the tiles were past their best...however, it was as clean as it could be. The bed was comfy and the bedding a good quality. The TV had a lot of channels but none of them were in English, not expecting that but there was not even a channel with English subtitles. The breakfast selection was good although it did depend on timing it right as it could be a little chaotic as there didn’t seem to be enough staff clearing tables or replenishing the buffet with plates, food, drinks etc. and the toaster was a waste of time. At the moment there are works going on in front of the hotel, and we weren’t made aware of that, but I didn’t find it noisy....in fact the hotel was very quiet. It is a 5 minute walk to a good selection of cafes and restaurants. It’s also close to a metro and a 10/15 minute walk to The Eiffel Tower that I could see out of my bedroom window. There is air con and that kept the room at the perfect temperature. I suppose for 4 star I would expect the detail to be a little better, they’re not far away so it was a little disappointing which is a shame. If I was staying longer I would have asked to...
