Falling into the dream from the super high fabric big bed, and waking up in full spirit from it again, that will be the last and first best experience you will encounter every day. However, the BEST is not far from this, because the next high-quality marble double basin and the powerful shower with its own oil spray will give you the best reason to fall in love washing up and taking morning bath. The advantage of living on the first floor is that you don't have to wait for the tired elevator on weekdays, put on your most comfortable clothes, just walk to the elegant, reiki and orderly restaurant, and outside the large french window is a lovely garden. The breakfast is exquisite and full of surprises. You can find everything that is closest to nature and health, or you can treat yourself directly with a caviar. Of course, no matter what you need - even the most common pastry or yogurt, the amiable staffs of the restaurant will provide you with the most thoughtful and immediate access to the table. At the same time, their beautiful smiles and sincere greetings make people feel the precious and rustic warmth beyond the fantastic food. After breakfast, you will, open the door and go for a walk. Of course, before that, you can ask any of the concierge staff here, they will give you the best ideas and suggestions for the day. However, even if you just walk around, you will be surprised to find that the location of the hotel is so great. Turn left and take a few steps to get to the Champs Elysées, and then the majestic Arc de Triomphe is not far from your right. Similarly, if you choose a few steps to the right, you will come to the same famous Boulevard Haussmann. If you do this, the museum closest to the hotel, Musée Jacquemart-André, will be a great place for your afternoon tea. So it can be said that the hotel is such Conveniently located, so that you have the best choice to experience all the possibilities of the whole Paris. Whether you are goning to immersed in unlimited art and design, or countless food, fashion and merchandise. Staying here makes you feel like you are in the heart of Paris. Then Paris is no longer a distant place, but become to the most familiar "hometown" you are closest to. Return to the hotel in the evening, you must not miss the hotel's Italian restaurant. Here we have eaten the best tiramisu in life, even this most common dessert has been made so delicious, as for the taste of other foods I think you can rest assured to prepare your highest expectations. Of course, behind the food, is the most sincere efforts of every employee in the kitchen and restaurant. Their confidence, professionalism and understanding of the guests, and built it all. After the satisfyingdinner, go back to the room and turn on the lights and you will find that everything has been cleaned up. The smart toilet makes us feel very intimate from Asia. The high-quality wine glasses in the mini bar will add a touch of brilliance to whatever you taste. The decoration of the wall lamp is especially unique. The wall lamp in hallway is shaped like a reproduce candlestick, while in the bedroom and the living room they are decorated with three torch-like retro styles, which brings a special European castle feel. There are also screens with oriental elements and slightly Italian seats. Of course, if you think that this is just a series of antique furniture, then the TV set in the huge mirror will definitely surprise you. Open it and watch the latest program immediately. Once it is closed, it will be completely hidden. You can't see a little flaw. In addition, the curtains in the bathroom and living room are also electrically controlled. And the TVs, curtains, and lights mentioned above can be easily manipulated by using the pad that comes...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel de Berri in Paris France. This trip was special.||I was celebrating my 60th birthday, while also traveling solo for the first time since losing my husband of 32 years. It was an emotional but empowering trip.||I chose to splurge a bit for this portion of my trip (which included multiple cities in Europe) simply because my actual birthday was during my stay at this property.||First, lets talk about the property. It is tucked away on a much quieter street, Rue de Berri, in a very busy touristy area close to the Champs Elysees. Some friends who had visited Paris before recommended other less touristy areas to stay in, but I am glad I stayed exactly where I was. It was close to everything I wanted to get to in a short walk (Eiffel tower, Seine, Arc de Triomphe, American Episcopal Cathedral in Paris among many other sites) but the location was not loud, full of pedestrians outside the hotel or in anyway noisy. The hotel property is smaller, more intimate. It's NOT your typical high rise Bonvoy property with tons of people all over the place. The lobby was beautiful, elegant and eclectic.||My room was lovely, extremely well appointed and when I arrived, I was greeted with a nice hand written card welcoming me to the hotel and some macaroons. PERFECT for an exhausted traveler. The bathroom was well appointed, roomy and even included a live ivy plant on the sink. An attention to detail I found indicative of a property who absolutely pays attention to detail...how else could such a plant survive in a busy hotel without staff who paid close attention to the little things?||The breakfast buffet was fabulous. There were a wide variety of high quality cheeses and meats, hot foods, freshly squeezed juices and detox blends (the ginger detox was out of this world). Croissants, breads and pastries were delicious as well as fresh fruit that was ripe, flavorful and expansive. Breakfast was sufficient that I did not need lunch.||The front desk staff went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make me feel welcomed and 'seen' particularly as a solo traveler. They treated me as a long lost friend...listened to my stories and gave sweet hugs.||They were able to get me a last minute dinner reservation a Le Payvllon for my birthday dinner despite being initially told, they did not have any reservations available. The ladies at the front desk assured me that my outfit fit the bill for 'casual chic' and made me feel wonderful heading out to my Michelin star dinner solo. The whole evening, I felt like cinderella, only I didn't turn into a pumpkin. And when I came back from dinner to the hotel, all asked how my birthday dinner was...they genuinely seemed to be invested in making my night wonderful. Hugs were had by all.||The hotels attention to detail, friendly and kind staff, intimate atmosphere, well situated location and upscale amenities made this very special trip extraordinary. ||I choke up when I think about my birthday trip, largely due to Le Pavyllon and Hotel de Berri and their staff. I cannot say enough kind things about this hotel, but most especially the staff at the front desk and at the door. The men and women there were memorable and made this trip, truly the trip of a lifetime.||A heart felt thank you to all. |Your staff MADE this...
Read moreMy friends and I decided to stay here on a vocational trip in Paris; unfortunately this was an immense mistake on my part. I am a continuous customer of Aman and that is probably why I was not satisfied by this so-called “hotel.” The interior is cheap and gawdy; resembling a high-end brothel. The cuisine this hotel serves is limited in quality and overstocked with stereotypical supermarket inventory. The attentive abilities of the front desk staff are of the equivalence of a Americentric European who dreams of elsewhere.
Since I have taken the time to really expound on the ridiculous of the basics of this hotel, I’d like to start on my personal experience as a guest at this hotel.
I arrived with two people and was greeted by snobby skinny white men who are ripe with wrinkles. The hotel was unable to accept my credit and debit card so we had to take out a deposit on my friend's card. I use my debit and credit card everyday and have no issues in Italy, Germany, China, Korea, and many more countries.
The staff continuously entered our room like a football game was playing and would not leave us alone. The staff delightfully ignored any phone calls made from guest quarters and were no where to be found amid the front desk area during the night.
Upon check out, the hotel allowed my “friends” to leave the hotel as I reside alone and did not inform me at all. Then, the hotel refused to release my bags until I pay the entirety of the invoice to of which was undoubtedly belonging to my friends and not only me.
I explained that my card does not work and attempted to offer to complete a bank transfer. Upon this matter, I was passed by a ditzy tall woman; Helena Westin who did not speak to me as if this matter was above her.
The next day, I receive a call from a woman named Aminata and informed in a very dramatic tone that “we can’t go on like this.” I was very confused and asked what she meant. She then proceeded to exclaim that I will have to find a way to pay the balance of incidental charges to which again is not even mine or she will call the police. This is very interesting seeming as I already sent a bank transfer just a day ago.
That morning, I was confronted by two more tall woman and basically told that I need to go into a room and speak with the police. I was then asked a series of strange questions pertaining to a situation in Japan of which I have no connection to and accused of being a con-artist and a scammer by these lowdown snobs. Then, I was told by French police that I have to pay in five minutes or they will arrest me. I attempted to explain and the women Helena Westin basically deliberately mistranslated what I said for them to think I am refusing to pay. I was then arrested and called prejudicial exclamations pertaining to my ethnicity and gender identity. Upon this occurrence, I was continuously interrogated by French police and as I foresaw, nothing was accomplished. I was then consulted by a court judge and told that this was a misunderstanding and the hotel handled this situation very poorly. I then booked a flight to Korea and spent around 367,000$ at Signiel Seoul Hotel. I will never stay at this...
