We did a search for late night kitchens and found this place. It appeared to have good ratings, so we rushed over in a heavy rain storm. When we arrived, I saw a gentleman delivering a plate to a couple sitting at an outside table. When my family attempted to place an order, we were told we could only place an order to go. I offered to pay extra to be able to sit down in the otherwise empty restaurant and avoid the thunderstorm. I once again was told no even though the restaurant was listed as being open for another 30 minutes and I had just witnessed him serve a couple. I’m not sure if this man was a manager or owner, but he was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. I was very hungry, so I ordered, but my family was so offended by his behavior that they refused to order anything. The only difference between my family and the couple who was receiving friendly service was they were Muslim and we are American. The man appeared to be of similar background to the Muslim couple and was very friendly and allowed them to sit and enjoy their food. I believe we were victims of blatant discrimination. All customers should be treated fairly regardless of religion, ethnicity, or nationality. His behavior is totally unacceptable. We are here for the Olympics as are thousands of other non-Muslim Americans. We all should be treated kindly. In addition to the discrimination, we had some serious issues with the food. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was burned. I couldn’t finish it because every bite tasted like burned bread. The fries were soggy and unseasoned. My salad was flavorless. I could only eat a few bites of the cheeseburger and the rest went into the trash. I could have at least enjoyed the food if I was going to be forced to endure blatant discrimination. It’s zero...
Read moreDining at The Kitchen Champs-Élysées – Meat was a fantastic experience for anyone who appreciates high-quality steak and fresh ingredients. I ordered the entrecôte steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Each bite showcased the quality of the meat and the skill of the kitchen.
What truly surprised me was the salad that came alongside. It was a refreshing and beautifully balanced mix of cucumber, tomato, avocado, and green pepper, all lightly dressed with olive oil. The freshness of the vegetables combined with the richness of the avocado and the subtle sharpness of the green pepper made for an outstanding combination. Simple, yet incredibly satisfying—the kind of dish that highlights how thoughtful ingredient selection can make all the difference.
The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant but relaxed, creating a comfortable atmosphere perfect for enjoying a good meal. Service was attentive and professional without being intrusive.
The only slight reason for not giving a full 5 stars is that it can get a bit crowded during peak hours, which slightly affects the overall calm dining experience. However, the quality of the steak and the incredible freshness of the salad make it more than worth a visit.
Highly recommended for steak lovers looking for something...
Read moreI would say NO to this restaurant. I was looking for a halal place serving hamburgers and French fries, and this one caught my interest with many positive reviews. I even took the metro from the 15th arrondissement specifically for this meal, hoping for a great hamburger and fries.
Upon arrival, the restaurant looked untidy, unlike the pictures online. However, the main issues were with the food and the service.
The Food: I live in California and know what good hamburgers and French fries taste like. The fries were served almost cold, and the hamburger was only slightly warm. I expect my fries to be hot; if I wanted cold fries, I would have gone to McDonald’s! The meat in the hamburger had an odd taste; either the beef or the dressing was mediocre. Has this restaurant ever been to the U.S. to learn how to make hamburgers—the land of hamburgers? If you don't know how to make a great hamburger, please don't call it one. The strange taste was reminiscent of mold, but I couldn’t pinpoint its source. The bun was decent, but I left very disappointed after traveling 45 minutes each way for this meal.
The Service: My server was friendly and polite, but the guy who appeared to be the manager—the one at the cashier who processed my payment (I was there between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM on Friday, October 25th, 2024)—was rude and acted like he was doing me a favor. He ignored me and the other customers, making us wait while he had a loud, pointless conversation with two of the cooks. I don’t understand why he would prioritize personal chatter over attending to customers ready to pay. What kind of attitude is that? You rely on us, the customers, for your income. Did you think a 4.7-star rating on Google guarantees your success?
What a disappointment! I will never return.
