Terrass Hotel is a beautiful and stylish hotel with great service and accommodations.
First, the hotel is located in one of the best places of Paris, "Montmartre" where you have plenty of restaurants, bars and galleries, it's a modern, stylish and chic area with stone streets and excellent choices from cheap to expensive eating, also plenty of pastries and small cafes and stores. The Decor of the hotel, lobby area and rooms are modern, stylish and chic. Rooms come in different sizes, we stayed on the 5th floor, we never heard any noise, if I'm not mistaken rooms are sound proof.
The room had plenty of power outlets that include the France Standard but they also included a US/UK connector on the wall in case you don't have the France connector. Also the room has a smart TV with an HDMI connector on the wall (they should promote the fact that they have all this connections in the guest rooms, it's a plus) where if I knew I would have brought a Chromecast so I can listen to music, see my pictures and videos at the end of the night. There's also a Bluetooth and Aux for connecting audio. The bed was big and comfortable, the bathroom was big enough (if you can afford the rooms on the 6th floor go for it, the have a bathroom and bath tub separated) The hot water was amazing, I could stay in the shower for ever.
The service was great, always willing to help and they have computers that suggest where to go, eat, visit, WiFi is free and it worked all over the hotel. The staff was very helpful and always polite.
Moulin Rouge is two blocks away, The church of Montmartre is 800 meters away. Metro stations is just down the hill, I mean the location of this hotel is perfect. Eiffel Tower is a 20 minute ride either though taxi, Uber or Metro (Train). Most attraction are between 20-30 minutes away.
Again, location, location, Terrass Hotel was an excellent choice, the location, decor and service of Terrass made our first time in Paris a beautiful experience. When I come back to Paris I'll be coming back to Terrass, I mean I have nothing to complain about the facilities or the area, we walked at any time and never had an issue in the area.
If you're visiting Paris, can I suggest you stay at Terrass, the facilities and location will make you time in Paris the perfect trip...you can thank me later.
Room Tip: The higher up you are the better, spend a little extra and get the room on...
Read moreWe had not been to this hotel for many years and so were not sure what to expect, would our visit be as fabulous as our previous visit? We should not have worried our whole experience was fantastic from start to finish! The common areas are modern nicely styled, the rooms have all you need and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurant on the rooftop has the most incredible views definitely go there in the evening and see the Eiffel Tower sparkle! This is where breakfast is served so you can gaze out over the city as you eat. Breakfast is excellent. There is also complimentary water and coffee all day in reception. The position of the hotel could not be better. It is a short stroll to Abbesses metro stop and it such a lovely walk past fabulous shops and restaurants. It feels very Parisian! There are plenty of restaurants to eat at, speak to the reception staff for recommendations. They booked several restaurants for us during our stay and we had excellent affordable food in places we would not have normally discovered. I cannot praise the staff enough, they make this hotel! Everybody is friendly and professional and cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The staff in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast were great and the reception staff were fantastic. They researched activities for us and then followed up to check how we got on too. They arranged birthday treats to be left in my daughter's room and remembered to personally wish her a happy birthday on the day too. I did not get all names of the staff in reception, they were all great, but I did spend time talking to Line who was incredible at what she does. She gave us so much information and even when she saw us in the street outside of working hours she stopped and asked us how our day had been and what we had seen, even showing us other places on her phone. She did not have to stop or take time to do that but she did and she is a absolute credit to the hotel. I do not have anything negative to say about our stay, we had a wonderful time. I have travelled to Paris many times for business and pleasure and the staff at this hotel are definitely some of the best. If you choose Montmarte you should choose this hotel. Looking forward to another...
Read moreHelpful staffs (but i wonder why it is taking so long to send the invoice (been 15days since i checked out & counting. Checked out on 5june) and i wonder why i was charged the city tax of 2 pax when i was staying solo). The charges on the citytax/touristtax should have been told & charged upon check in, instead of check out. Japan does it this way (charge the city/tourist tax upon check in)
Not a outdoor bar/restaurant area like what i assumed from the website. I went to the bar area and requested for outdoor seats, staffs said that it not available. Maybe the outdoor seats are only available to the restaurant area 🤷🏻♂️ the cocktail i ordered from the Cocktail Creation Terrass was 😍 love it! Forgot which one i ordered but i uploaded a photo of it
Dark, mysterious corridor for the room floors! Require a 50€ deposit on ur credit card by which it will be refunded in 3 days time. Lots of eateries / bakeries nearby 😍 but most close early. No toothbrush provided.
Update/Reply to Terrass Hotel / Laurie (Executive Assistant) response: Your concierge colleague, Pauline, sent me an email dating 9june, stating that she would “email me the invoice shortly”, till date (11days later), i did not receive anything.
Sending the invoice, from my other hotel stay experience (not in paris), is something that could be done within minutes.
Indeed it was a group booking, but only one passport details was recorded during check in, thus such mistakes should not be made. I am not sure how many guests out there bothers to write such detailed feedback.
I could be very sure that the restaurant was not busy at the moment i was there on the night of 4June around 11.35pm, i was there alone with my camera, ordered a drink. Restaurant was empty. Bar was half crowded. Feel free to check the CCTV as i was the only one taking photos of the Eiffel tower that night 😍
I could not understand and verify the credibility when you mentioned that you have contacted me via emails, because i did not receive anything with regards to it.
The changes in my overall star rating from 3 to 1 to 2 are due to above...
