A disgrace – not a 5-star hotel, not even a hotel We stayed at Marquis Faubourg Saint-Honoré for the third time. It will also be the last. On September 13, we came to breakfast at 9:20 a.m. (breakfast is served until 10:30). There are only six tables in total: four were occupied, while two stood dirty and unprepared – one without a tablecloth, the other just left uncleared. Despite this, nobody seated us for a long time. Same story was 14 Settembre. When we were finally seated, the situation was unacceptable. The buffet was almost empty: no bread, no croissants, no cheese, no ham. Only yogurt and fruit. There were not enough clean cups or cutlery; we even had to take some ourselves from their drawers. We waited 30 minutes and received nothing but tea and coffee. Finally, we left and paid €35 for breakfast at a nearby café. The atmosphere was surreal. In the middle of this so-called luxury hotel, other guests entered the dining room in pajamas. One woman appeared in what looked like a slip or nightdress, with two children – one of them partially undressed (naked bottom), unwashed, running around the room. This is not a breakfast in a hotel. This is a scene from a shelter. The room itself was no better: a broken bathroom light for three nights, mold spreading around the bathtub, rusting and damaged fixtures, a broken toilet flush. The property may claim a “designer renovation,” but in reality it is decaying before the guests’ eyes. Staff showed no professionalism. When we complained at reception, there was no apology, no explanation – just indifference. And afterward, silence, as if nothing had happened. This is not a 5-star hotel. This is not even a hotel. It is a neglected place hiding behind a luxury façade. We strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere.

We arrived late left early. Nit offered Hot Breakfast, no Cognac on Bar, no Diet Or Zero Coke or Pepsi... none of these usually a deal breaker...at THESE PRICES -- We won't return. I recommend the Napoleon or Lord Byron - they have a better understanding of courtesy, timing, and OFFERING LIQUOR MADE IN FRANCE. - I am: "From where I sit...." Globally reporting on where you should spend your money.

Gorgeous pied au terre in Paris....warm, just off main shopping and close to everything yet quiet and inviting. Only 15 suites, very private, seems like personal apartment. Elegant decor, living rooms, fireplaces, lovely breakfast room.

A Five-Star Shell with One-Star Service

I rarely write reviews, but my recent stay at this so-called five-star hotel in Paris deserves an exception. Let me start by saying the location is absolutely unbeatable, and the decor is undeniably tasteful — a true visual feast. Sadly, that's where the luxury experience began and ended.

Upon arrival on May 26th , I was greeted by the one and only staff member at the front desk, who, mid-conversation, suddenly disappeared without a word — for nearly 30 minutes. I wasn’t sure whether I had checked into a luxury hotel or a magic show. 😅

Later, I discovered that basic necessities like drinking water weren’t replenished in the room. When I called to request it, I was told it was on the way. Three hours and three phone calls later, I was informed they had delivered it to the wrong room — repeatedly. Quite the dedication to consistency, if nothing else.

This level of disorganization and disregard for guests' time is not what one expects — or should tolerate — at this price point. If management is truly committed to upholding the standards that their stars suggest, I strongly recommend reviewing internal operations… and perhaps investing in a calendar to remind staff that the 21st century values basic hospitality.

Until then, come for the location and interior — but don’t forget to pack your patience… and...

Generally I want to start off with saying that most of the staff really tried their best and understood the complaints we raised. ||However, altough the rooms are big and has a lot of potential the cleaing crew had made a really bad job so to the point that we had to change room immediately upon arrivel. The staff then gave us an upgrade which we appreciated but we also in the new room quickly realised that the cleaning was sub-par (think a number of hair strams around, a bottle under the table, dust in the window panes etc. Nevertheless, we choose not to change room again. ||The day after we ordered breakfast to the room and for the gentle price of 39 EUR per person you can see in the picture below what we received. For obvious reasons we didn't have to pay for it in the end but what was interesting is that they then promised it would be much better the day after and that they were really sorry. ||Unfortunately I trusted them and had also told them it was my girlfriends birthday but as you might have understood by now, the breakfast was likely even worse. To be clear, I think the staff did the best they could but it was obvious that there was no chef at all at the hotel and that the breakfast was prepaired by the housekeeping crew. ||All in all, it left a sour taste in our mouth and hence we can't rate it better...
