I love coming to this place - I think it’s one of the best chocolateries in Paris. As soon as you set foot inside, you’re engulfed by the aroma of diverse chocolates and enchanted by the many choices offered before your eyes - a feast for the senses. Every time I stop by I make sure to load on gifts for chocolate lovers in my life (it’s a gift that never disappoints:). The choices are abundant and from all over the world (the tablettes not only taste fabulous, but also look great). The coffrets are also superb! The marrons glacés - these are amazing and on point (delicious without being too sweet - exactly how I love them). The mousse au chocolat is great: unctuous and perfect (however I think it’s something to be shared). The mousse choices are sourced from five countries of origin: Ecuador, Venezuela and Madagascar or Equagha. The seasonal ice cream is also delicious (and this is coming from someone who’s not even a huge ice cream fan). The staff are always courteous and helpful....
Read moreDuring my trip to Paris, I decided to try the famous chocolate mousse, as I'd heard so much about it. After some research, I found Chapon et la Chocolaterie de l'Eglise, a highly-rated chocolatier, and made it a point to visit. The shop itself is beautiful, with a divine aroma of rich chocolate filling the air as soon as you step inside. While they offer a lovely range of chocolates to purchase, my main reason for visiting was to try their signature mousse.
They offer the mousse in either a cone or tub, and I opted for the cone, which turned out to be the perfect portion for me. Although there's no seating inside, I happily enjoyed it outside. The mousse was delightful – smooth and creamy without being overwhelmingly chocolatey, making it a perfectly balanced treat.
I would definitely return to Chapon et la Chocolaterie de l'Eglise and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris who wants to indulge in some exceptional...
Read moreChapon Chocolate is a true gem for any chocolate lover. I was blown away by the freshness and quality of their offerings—it's clear they take their craft seriously. The Uganda 75% bar, with its striking zebra packaging, quickly became my favorite for its rich, deep flavor, but the Philippines 75%, adorned with a vibrant parrot, was a close second. The unique packaging is a work of art in itself, adding to the overall experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and clearly passionate about what they do, making the visit all the more enjoyable. On one occasion, I mentioned my love for single-origin chocolate, and they gave me a detailed breakdown of the different flavor profiles. It's this kind of attention to detail that really sets Chapon apart. Highly recommended for anyone in search of high-quality, beautifully...
