OK, you have read the other reviews, here is the TRUE SCOOP!....this is a great hotel!!|First, the location is very good....right next to Luxembourg Gardens, across from the museum..it is very quiet and not touristy....you can easily walk to restaurants, a news stand, bakery(very important!) and fruit stand and pharmacy....we did not take the metro...uber is super easy to use in Europe and easily got picked up about 25 feet from the hotel door...most rides to central Paris cost about 13 euros....|Check in was very quick and efficient....the hotel host was a wonderful woman who was so helpful during the stay....we had an early flight, so arrived to the hotel(via taxi from airport-65 euros) at about 9 am...she recommended a close cafe that was serving breakfast and by the time we finished, our room was ready....|Now the room....we splurged(just a bit) and had the junior suite...this is the room to book!!!....for the room features, it was well worth it....it is very large with a sitting area and TONS of shelf space(often lacking in European hotels)....very clean with "old world" decor....very clean and super quiet....bathroom is large with 2 sinks, a tub and a walk in shower....nice water pressure and plenty of hot water....|The breakfast was good, not great, but not a problem...internet rate for breakfast was 8 euros per person....add 5 euros if you order eggs(????).....made to order and actually a pretty good deal....good breads, cheese, yogurt, cold cereal and fruit....|So, if you want a very cozy hotel out of the touristy area in a safe part of the city, then...

We only discovered the hotel a few years ago, and wish we has known about it earlier. We visit Paris at least once or twice a year, and have stayed at several upmarket hotels in St Germain, over the years. This one beats them all. Situated opposite the Luxembourg gardens, and close to metro stations and bus stops, with good bistros, as well as a great bakery nearby, it is easy walking distance down to the Seine, should you feel like stretching your legs. If you want to give yourself a real treat, book the junior suite, if it is available. Unfortunately, there is only one, but it is so special we have planned the timing of our next stay at the hotel around the opportunity of a reservation of eight nights in the suite. We recently stayed in one of the courtyard rooms, which I would recommend for peace and quiet. As a very seasoned international traveller, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. On our recent trip earlier in April, we also stayed at more expensive hotels in Amsterdam and Bordeaux. However, in both cases, Hotel Luxembourg Parc outperformed the larger luxury hotels, belonging to internationally respected hotel groups. For personalised service, and a feeling of home from home, this hotel would be...
