I stayed at this hotel in 1994, 1995, and 1996 and 1997. In 1999 we had booked a room and we're traveling from Barcelona to Paris. We were to be there for 4 days then on to the Netherlands. Madam made this our worst trip ever. My husband had booked a room for 3 but failed to mention we had a 9 month old baby.

The hotel was overbooked and there was a train strike. Evidently there was a person in our room who could not leave. ALL PARIS hotels were filled. Madam used the failure to mention the baby as a reason to not honor our reservation.

On top of not allowing us to stay, she spent 30 minutes berating us and declared she had a right to our 2 day deposit because we had not been truthful about the amount of people in the room.

We had all of our luggage in the entry. She berated us for not moving and wanted us to take our luggage out to the sidewalk because she wanted to be done with us.

Having two young girls and a lot of luggage on that street would not have been a good idea.

My husband was finally able to get a cab and returned to the train station. We spent around 7 hours there before getting a train to the Netherlands.

My oldest daughter who was 8, was very upset because it had always been her dream to go to Paris. Madam put such a terrible stain on that trip that we have never returned to that hotel. What can I say about the rooms? Tiny, yet very quaint and Parisi an, the lift is very, very small. The concierge is a Harridan, Ill bred and nasty.

The street was quaint.

I returned that year with my eldest daughter and her brother, we stayed a week at a hotel that was lovely and who kept their word.

I always wondered why the proprietor was so horrible to us. It may have been the fact we were an interracial couple, but that was known every year.

She kept one nights payment on top of denying us a room. THAT was the kind of person running the...

Our experience was disappointing.||||First, the good.||The location is quiet in a residential area by Rue Mouffetard. 15-minute walk to the Metro. Good food options around. Super charming hotel around the 5th. Loved the small-hotel feel. Loved the fact that it's a walking distance from Rue Mouffetard, and from some nice cafes and restaurants. Although it is a bit far from the touristy places in Paris, there is a metro station nearby and commuting everywhere is easy. The room is small (it's in Paris, so it's expected), but it is adequate, clean, and the design is minimalist and fresh. We were also lucky to get a room that opens up to a view of Rue Pascal and how I loved looking out that window every morning. Also would love to commend two of my favorite things about this hotel: professional staff, and the excellent breakfast. Mr. Emmanuel who welcomed us was very friendly, even gave us some tips on how to get around the neighborhood. The breakfast was great. It had the perfect mix of meats, cheeses, viennoiserie, smoked salmon, and coffee. We had it everyday at the atrium, and it was the perfect way to start our day.

I booked a hotel for a total of three nights from July 29 to August 1 on the official website. When I checked in, I was told that there were two bottles of water in the refrigerator that I could drink for free, and other soft drinks would be charged, but it was ridiculous. After cleaning the room the next day, I thought there would be new bottles of water to drink, but I found no, so I went to the reception to ask if I could get two bottles of water. According to the principle, I can get two servings of water every night, but the reception told me to book three nights of separate check-in can have water, otherwise three nights of two bottles of water, it seems that charging such a high room fee, even can not afford to give water, return the four-star hotel is really funny, I do not want water, your attitude on the plane, will never come again. I will spread the word on all my social media platforms.

Cute 70s themed hotel with spacious rooms in a great area within walking distance of major tourist sights and Metro stations. Quiet area at night, great for sleep. Very friendly front desk staff (merci!). Excellent housekeeping, rooms are very clean (merci beaucoup!). The immediate area around the hotel has many great restaurants and shops to explore on low key days. The only downside -The door locks may or may not typical of France, but they are irritating. You have to turn the key around twice to open and close it, which is really loud in the halls. I had to ask staff to show me how the door opened. Free coffee, breakfast available for purchase on site. Would stay here again. Au revoir, Paris. We will meet again.
