UPDATE June 2025: Hotel has threatened me with legal action unless I delete my review. Lawyer claims I am blackmailing them. Hotel had previously asked I delete my review in exchange for a full refund. I refused.||||||April 2025: I swear before God that the experience Iam writing below is a true account of what happened at this hotel and if I am lying, may God Almighty strike me dead.||||This is the worst hotel in the world operating a sophisticated scam in the heart of Paris. Julian, the manager, verbally attacked and abused me, threatening to charge my credit card for items I did not use. His exact words were and I quote: “You have no idea what I else I will charge to your card when you leave this hotel.”||||The staff like Julian, are equally verbally abusive and I had five of them scream in my face threatening me. This has all been recorded on my phone and I have the evidence.||||When checking out of this hotel, ensure you call staff to check the mini bar in your presence as staff and management plant empty bottles in the rooms of guests to charge them for items not taken.||||Immediately after I left my room to check out at reception, a member of the team went into my room to place an empty bottle of champagne on my table to then bill me for it. I had suspected staff of foul play when one of the ladies at the front desk accused me of drinking champagne from the bar. Perturbed, as I don’t even drink alcohol, I denied taking a bottle of champagne. However she insisted I had. So I asked her if we could go to my room together so she showed me what I had supposedly drank. She then bolted out of the reception and took the back stairs to my room on the first floor, while I was waiting for the lift; to place an empty bottle of alcohol on my table claiming I had drank this. To say I was shocked is an understatement! There was absolutely no empty bottle of champagne on my table when I had left the room! She then changed the story to that I had left the empty bottle in the fridge so housekeeping had taken it out of the room and placed it on the table. What a truly bizarre sequence of events and stories!||||1)Why would housekeeping go to my room immediately after I checked out?||||2)Why would housekeeping take an empty bottle of champagne from the fridge and place it on the table?||||3)If there had indeed been an empty bottle won’t you place it in the bin? Why would you place it on the table?||||Staff then tried to accuse my friend of drinking the alcohol. The day before, my friend had missed her train to Nice so had placed her luggage in my room whilst awaiting her early morning flight. We had returned to the hotel at 2-3am and then my friend left at 4:30am for her early morning flight to Nice. When I called my friend to ask if she had taken alcohol from the bar, (I didn’t think she had as she had been in my room for less than 2hours to take her bags and freshen up); she was very shocked and said she had never taken anything from the bar!||||What followed later was a most disturbing scene. Five members of the team including the hotel owner, Julian, verbally attacked me in the lobby for “stealing” as I tried to explain to them, I do not drink alcohol so that was definitely not me. Julian called me uneducated, poor, and a disgusting human being. He threatened to report me to the police and stated he would charge my credit card with other items as soon as I left the hotel. He then approached me violently and made to grab my suitcase. I immediately called the police and three officers later turned up. Whilst the hotel charged my card under duress and without my authority, the police officers informed me the hotel could not file a claim for a €39 bottle of champagne as no crime had been committed. The officers empathised and informed Julian had said he would not file a police report and even if he had, there was no grounds for a police report.||||At one point I was on the phone to my concerned friend who wanted to know what Julian Humbert looked like. I started to describe him as a "White male..." and Julian Humbert started screaming at me saying I was making derogatory remarks about his skin... how bizarre.||||I have taken this incident further with the necessary authorities in the UK to recoup my money and I have reported them to British Airways Holidays, where I...

Booked here through Booking.com to be close to tour-provided room at a hotel which had no vacancies on prior days. Wanted to get time adjusted and do a little exploring.||The staff here are wonderful-5 stars, particularly Emily, who bent over backwards to take care of us. So that’s one real positive. Also, unlike many hotels in Europe, there are wonderful reading lamps in each side of the bed. A third positive is that the hotel is near a taxi stand, especially because it’s far away from most attractions. Oh, and breakfast (euros 21 pp) was pretty good.||The “Negative” factors are far more numerous.||* It’s cramped. Easy to get claustrophobia. The landing on each of the guest room floors is about 4’ x 8’, with 2-3 rooms/floor.||This hotel has one of those arrangements through which you turn power on by inserting a room key card into a slot in your room. We tended to leave one key card into the slot during absences due to pathetic AC. Each day the maid removed that key, necessitating our getting yet another.|* Yes, we were there during a heat wave, but the climate system is basically non-functioning. Supposedly we could set the temperature to 19 degrees Celsius, but that left both of us angry and uncomfortably sweating, Worse still, if we opened the window for fresh air, we were treated to loud comments from numerous nightly Meridian hotel employees taking a cigarette break (of which there are many in France!!) and all the loading and unloading from the Receiving Department. HORRIBLE!||We switched rooms within an hour on Day 1 because the tub/shower combination (which was grossly scratched) was unsafe with very high walls and no available non-slip mats. The danger was heightened because tryouts couldn’t adjust the water temperature PRIOR to stepping into the tub,||^ the tiny elevator had a door that shut too abruptly after opening and with seemingly ineffective safety closure mechanism. Bothersome.||Toilet paper is unacceptably coarse. Silly..||^||We...

Subject: A Memorable Stay at Hôtel Les Jardins de la Villa - My Sincere Appreciation|Dear Team at Hôtel Les Jardins de la Villa,|First, please accept my apologies for the previous review mix-up. I'm delighted to properly share my exceptional experience during my stay from June 14th to 17th.|From my evening arrival, your reception team greeted me with genuine hospitality that set the tone for my entire visit. The efficient check-in process demonstrated your professional standards, and I was immediately impressed by my first-floor room's elegant design. The generous king bed with premium linens, thoughtful bedside water bottles, and well-appointed minibar created an oasis of comfort. The spacious marble bathroom with its rainfall shower became my daily sanctuary.|Your wellness facilities deserve special mention. The sauna and jacuzzi provided perfect relaxation, though I particularly appreciated how your staff explained the reservation system so clearly. My massage with Olga was transformative - her intuitive technique addressed every knot from my travels. (A must-book experience for future guests!)|Each morning began with your outstanding breakfast service. The buffet's attention to detail - from flaky viennoiseries to perfectly cooked eggs and an impressive cheese selection - rivaled Paris's finest cafés. The five jams were a delightful touch I still remember fondly.|Your location offered the perfect Parisian balance: peaceful residential charm just minutes from the Arc de Triomphe's energy. Strolling through the neighborhood each evening gave me that coveted "local" feeling while still enjoying easy access to landmarks.|This stay reminded me why I love Parisian hospitality at its finest. I've already recommended your hotel to several colleagues and will certainly return on my next visit. Merci for creating such a memorable experience - you've set a new standard for excellence.|Warmest regards,|Farouk...

Unfortunately, during our three day stay here, lots of things went wrong. - Upon check in, we were asked to provide a security deposit, which of course is normal and expected. However, their card machine did not work. We tried many different cards, all of which were working normally, but we were still blamed which was extremely embarrassing when surrounded by other guests. Fifteen minutes later, we were told “not to worry” and never had to provide a deposit. - The room was literally back-to-back with the elevator of the hotel. A little bit of noise is of course totally understandable in a hotel but we could hear the elevator shaft every time it was used, and this was hugely disturbing of our sleep. - Very concerningly, we received a letter that was intended for another guest. This is obviously a huge breach of confidentiality. - Our room booking promised “premium bedding”, when in fact both sides of our duvet were old, cheap, and had 10+ inch rips down either side. I spoke to the “director” of the hotel, Julien Humbert, who has not given me a single apology for this terrible experience, but has instead very worryingly told me that he did not see any issues in the concerns that I raised, and that I apparently do not appreciate the struggles the hotel has been through since the pandemic. I fully understand the struggles that the world has unfortunately been through, however this is absolutely no excuse for the terrible service we endured. Please, please, stay elsewhere.

Overall, my experience here was less than exceptional, the rooms are really tiny . Poorly up-kept ! First there is no door man or bellhop to help you with your luggage when me and my girlfriend arrived we were greeted by a horrible reception we didn’t speak any French and they barely spoke any English . Anyway I arrived really late due to my train being delayed on the track I called I made staff aware of the situation and asked for a late check out due to me arriving a day late . My request was denied. They also took a hold for 160$ on my card . When I checked out I had some sort of fees of 56$ which I told them take from the hold they told me they couldn’t and would need me to provide a new form of payment for that . Which I didn’t understand. Staff was lazy and didn’t pay attention to details I just expected a bit more from a hotel in Paris and hold didn’t return back to my card til 30days later

🏨 Although rated 4-stars, this hotel operates like a 5-star hotel. 🤓I stayed here for a week-long workcation – and am absolutely glad I did! I managed to work from in the lobby/library area – many plug-points and relatively quiet, so I was able to take calls and focus. 😮‍💨 There was also a Hammam with a Sauna and Steamroom, which you can book for hour-long slots (all to yourself!) 💕The staff are exceptionally kind and communicate in a friendly manner, both pre-visit over email and during my stay. 🧼 The hotel is absolutely clean and neat. 🍳 There is a buffet breakfast daily, which consists of an assortment of pastries and cheeses. 🧀 Multiple, multiple options for patisseries and dinner at the surrounding restaurants. 🇫🇷 Easily, one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, in Paris!
