I recently dined here and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome the moment we walked in. Their service truly enhanced the overall dining experience. As for the food, it was nothing short of exquisite. I started with the French escargot, which was prepared to perfection. The snails were tender and bathed in a delicious garlic butter sauce that was simply divine. For the main course, I had the duck breast, which was cooked to perfection—crispy skin with tender, flavorful meat. Each bite was a true delight. My friend opted for the cheese beef burger, and it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy and cooked just right, with a rich, melted cheese that made every bite indulgent. The accompanying fries were crispy and well-seasoned, a perfect complement to the burger. Overall, Le Hameau offers not just fantastic food but also a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to return again and again. Highly recommended!

tables and stuff are nice outside, service was very inattentive. I have traveled extensively, I am a very patient person. My steak was so incredibly tough. I was practically sawing through it, I don’t expect to be checked on every single minute, but the waiter could clearly say that I couldn’t finish my steak, the fries and the salad were good. I did eat those but I paid 30€ for a soup cup size Bowl of fries and about a quarter cup of green leaves. I did tell the waiter very politely when he came to take my plate, and I did try to get his attention several times to tell him earlier, but I had an early flight, I need to eat something so I could leave to get to bed in time. It was just bad so I guess probably don’t order steak there ever. They did comp my one glass of happy hour wine, but I would rather pay for the glass of wine and a bowl of fries, Something I actually did eat.

HIDDEN JEWEL Cozy, local vibes serving traditional cuisine with a modern twist. Local foodie here. A spot where mostly only locals eat. Menus are available in English. Staff was helpful, and friendly. I ordered the smoked salmon board, the dish of the day which was a cheeseburger with fries and salad and a beer. Topped it all off with the gourmand's coffee -stuffed in the end but sooo tasty. Pricier when compared to other traditional restaurants but it is worth it in the end considering the ingredients' quality and freshness, portions and the fact that I didn't have to wait an eternity to get my food made the extra euros per dish worth it. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Also, they offer outside seating and live music once a week on Thursday's.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid at All Costs!

I had an appalling dining experience here, both in terms of food quality and service. The foie gras was served with a hair in it — utterly unacceptable under any circumstances, and especially egregious to someone who works in the culinary industry. When we raised this concern, the waiter casually dismissed it as “normal.” As a professional chef myself, I can confidently say that serving food with hair is never acceptable in any respectable kitchen.

The fried chips were cooked in visibly dirty oil, leaving a foul taste and smell. The blue cheese sauce was shockingly bland, resembling watered-down milk. Upon complaining again, we were brought a peppercorn sauce that had an earthy, almost soil-like flavor — inedible and poorly prepared. The salad was untouched due to its poor quality.

The steak, requested medium rare, was served well done. Despite clearly expressing our dissatisfaction multiple times, the staff ignored our concerns, offering no apology, accountability, or solution.

The service throughout was dismissive and unprofessional. The manager was particularly rude, showing no interest in addressing our complaints. To top it off, we were presented with a bill for €91 — without any alcohol — and were bluntly told to pay in full for what was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.

I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to anyone. The food, service, and overall attitude of the staff and management were unacceptable.

Wonderful atmosphere for al fresco dining. We had a party of five. Jean François was very attentive and made sure he had all the utensils for sharing appetizers and dessert. For starters, the foie gras with mango sauce, terrine compagna and avocado tartar with smoked salmon were very good. Five stars for that. The mains were hit and miss. The chicken pollaide was very good. The aubergine and feta salad was delicious. The beef filet with the steak frites was chewy and thin, but the gravy was delicious. The pork chop special was thick and well seasoned, accompanied by particularly yummy new potatoes. My friend's Ceasar salad was disappointing. For dessert, the Nutella tiramisu special was amazing. Unfortunately the tart tatin misses the mark. It didn't have the signature apple caramelization. The crepes were rubbery and configure came in a individual sized jam jar. We had a fun time with good service but...
