Pizza Roma Montparnasse — Restaurant in Paris

My experience at this establishment was nothing short of a nightmare. I brought some croissants and chocolate pastries for my family, which led to an encounter with a manager who was not only incredibly rude but also shockingly unprofessional. Without any prior warning or visible signage, I was informed that I would be slapped with a 700€ fine for bringing in outside food. This outrageous and absurd penalty left me stunned.

What made the situation worse was the manager's condescending attitude and complete disregard for basic customer service. Instead of addressing the issue politely or offering any kind of understanding, I was treated with disdain and hostility. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable, and it’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here.

To add insult to injury, the establishment has no clear communication regarding this supposed policy, leaving customers blindsided by these draconian measures. The entire experience was incredibly frustrating, and I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before visiting this place. The lack of respect, professionalism, and transparency is appalling. The bread was the first indication that something was amiss. It was dry and hard, with a texture that was closer to cardboard than bread. The pasta was even worse. The sauce was so spicy that it was barely edible. The noodles themselves were overcooked and mushy, with no flavor to speak of. The service was also subpar. Great food and really nice service. You do have to show your vaccination card in order to be allowed to sit inside and dine. But obviously that's the regulation these days. Outside seating is available as well. The pizza was good. I got the vegetarian which had the perfect amount of cheese but the dough was a little bit soggy but that's normal for this kind of pizza. The wine was a house wine which wasn't that tasty and in hindsight I probably would have picked a different one. Other than that I think everybody was really friendly and service was good.
