The worst experience regarding hotels by far. We booked 2 rooms for two nights, 250€ per night for a 3 star hotel. We were paying a room for my parents as a gift as well. 250€/night is average price but not cheap! We didn’t have high expectations besides cleanliness of course!!! The room was dusty and full of other people’s hair. The bedsheets were full of human hair that wasn’t ours obviously, yellow and black stains were on the pillow cases. Disgusting. The bath towels had holes on them because they were old! We requested another room to the red head receptionist wearing glasses, who was very polite and trying to solve the problem, and after checking the new room the situation was the same so we said we are staying in the first one because there is no difference on the cleanliness. She came to check our room and she was surprised and ashamed of course. We requested new clean bedsheets and they gave us a new pair that had also hair in. Even the employees were surprised and apologised full of shame. We wanted to leave immediately but being late in the night, options were limited. So we stayed and of course couldn’t sleep because of the feeling that the room was dirty and disgusting. This trip was for pleasure and I ended up changing the bed sheets of my room and my parents, myself at 21:30 in the night. First thing in the morning at 7:30 we went downstairs and another receptionist was on duty. A grey hair man wearing glasses who wasn’t polite at all. The total amount that we were supposed to pay for 2 nights for 2 rooms was 1000€. So after all these he requested us to pay normal price 250€ for each room = 500€ ! Insane ! He was acting like he’s doing us a favour for not paying the second night! He was saying “what do you want me to do?” and my husband asked him politely if he would ever stay himself in a room in such condition and he said of course not! So after an intense conversation we ended up paying 250€ for both rooms for the night. In any case don’t visit this hotel because obviously they do not follow the cleanliness protocols like changing the bedsheets for god shake! A 3 star hotel should not mean a dirty one! Location almost ideal but not recommended at all!

Location is good, services and room not at all! The hotel is generally very old and the room small of that oldness. I am not quite sure if the sheets were clean enough, specially the pillowcases that mine had loads of stains and did not smell clean! I dont think they are changed in between the guests! I could not get my head around it and ended up with a towel on my pillow eventually! Cleanness is the only expectation at a 3 star hotel. I arrived at 11 PM for business trip and had not much options otherwise I would have changed immediately! The carpets are so old, dusty and full of hair! The lights in the room don't work except one and the bed-lights are fallen apart! The shower tab was fault and water was not getting cool at all! It needs a repair! Room 34! The breakfast is good though. There is no food served or available except breakfast, but there is a small fridge and cabinet with chocolates to buy from. They call it a bar. So I wont recommend the place unfortunately!

Hotel Couvent du Franciscain is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of the city. From its charming historical architecture to the warm and welcoming staff, every aspect of the hotel exudes a sense of tranquility and authenticity. The location couldn't be better, with many of Strasbourg's attractions within walking distance. The comfortable rooms, adorned with a blend of modern amenities and classic elegance, provide a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. Hotel Couvent du Franciscain is more than just a place to rest; it's an immersive experience that will leave you with fond memories of your time in Strasbourg.

Worst experience ever!

Me and my friend visited Strasbourg and checked in this hotel for 2 nights. Then after the first night we was going to the parliament to attend a youth event for the whole day. Then at 12:10 pm we received an email where they wrote that we couldn’t stay for one more night, and because we were in a meeting it wasn’t possible to see the mail before 14:30 pm. They didn’t even bother to call me and tell us this information. Then we called and asked what happened, and they told us that they have kicked us out because they double booked the hotel, they seriously just went to our room and took all of our stuff out. Then we returned to the hotel to check out, the receptionists insulted and discriminated me because of my age and my gender. I was so sad, I’m 19 years old, 2000 km from home, and they just put me on the street and didn’t care at all. They yelled and yelled at me. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I spoke with my lawyer and what this hotel did to me is illegal. DON’T...

I had a fantastic stay at Hôtel Couvent du Franciscain Centre Ville! The hotel is located right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the local attractions. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. One of the standout features of this hotel is their excellent luggage storage service. They allowed us to securely store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, which made our trip so much more convenient. It gave us the freedom to explore the city without worrying about carrying our bags around. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. Another highlight was the delicious breakfast, which was fresh, varied, and reasonably priced—a great start to the day.Overall, Hôtel Couvent du Franciscain Centre Ville offers great value for money, excellent service, and a prime location. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and would definitely...
