We stayed here one night and I am a bit ambivalent.
First: The Service staff is great. Thanks a lot!
On the day of arrival the elevator was broken, and we had to take the stairs to the 4th floor. We had a room with a bigger bathroom for people with a disability (the main reason for us to choose this hotel) - it was hard to get to the 4th floor. (They offered to bring the suitcase upstairs, which I declined, because I needed it immediately, as I said, staff is great). In the afternoon the elevator was fixed (then the roomcards didn't worked for the 1. time), but was a bit of a troubled start.
Parking worked good, expensive with 25 Euro/night but still better than searching a spot around.
We booked a deluxe room with 2 single beds (which was one doublebed when we arrived, with one blanket, but the staff was great and after a short notice they changed to 2 beds/blankets), I think it was a bit bigger than the other rooms and the bathroom was gigantic. Still.... my expectations were different due to the fotos everywhere. Also the view from the window was just a white wall from the next building - but you can't have everything, view or big bathroom.
It needs some fixing here and there. Also please mark the spot to put the hotelcard into - I tried 5 to 10 mins to get the AC running until I noticed the thing under the light switch. Probably for a lot people this will be self explaining, but in other hotels they were different placed or at least labeled.
The hotel is located not far away from the center, even though it is not near near - also no tram in the nearby streets accessible. Bus is around 5 minutes away. When returning to the hotel - 2nd time Hotelcard didn't work. It was fixed quickly, but still annoying.
The beds are short! If you are under 1.80m it's ok, over 1.80m you get in trouble (bed seems 1.90m instead of standard 2 or 2.20m). We slept good and comfortable anyways (in shrimp position).
We booked breakfast. It's very expensive with 18 Euro per person. I was prepared to be disappointed, and unfortunately it was good to have low expectations. It's not the amount of food. It's not as much as in other hotels, but this you can see on fotos already. But the quality wasn't good. Joghurt was okay, they had handmade joghurt that I didn't try, but looked good. (0 options for lactose intolerant people) Scrambled eggs had a super weird creamy, wobbly texture. But also this, matter of taste. The main problem was the bread/croissant/cake/brezel/baguette. It was dry. Like super dry. Salt was already melted and made blotches on the Brezel - like bought in supermarket the day before. I assume it's not, but it wasn't delicious at all. Baguette dry, the bread slices only worked toasted. The small croissants - same as the Brezel. Pancakes cold. If this all would have been fresh, fluffy, tasty... I would say it's worth the price. But unfortunately it was not.
You can't put the local organic marmelade on a chewy dry piece of Baguette. Not for 18 Euro. Staff was again very nice and refilled everything once it was gone.
After returning to our room the hotelcard didn't worked for the 3rd time, this time at the roomdoor.
Pros: Friendly staff, problems were solved quickly Everything was clean Own Parking AC works fine and quiet -Bathroom was great
Cons: Lot of "incidents" in one day Breakfast was low quality and expensive Beds too short (but comfortable)
Conclusion: was the night "okay"? -Yes. Would I go there...

It’s adjacent to the Palais de Justice and very handy for trains, trams and all the local sights which are easily walkable.||We were in the suite on the second floor, directly overlooking the Palais offices. Our full-length windows were only double-glazed but we heard no street noise during our entire week-long stay; a major plus point. Strasbourg doesn’t seem to be much of a party town and pedestrian movement outside the hotel is minimal.||The suite itself is a wide rectangular room with a comfortable bed centrally placed and the functional stuff i.e. desk, minibar, hot-drink facilities are at one end and the lounge stuff i.e large sofa and tables at the other. Likewise, the w.c. and the bath/shower facilities are similarly, and often conveniently, separated at each end of the room. What we did like, too, was the walk-in closet in the hall area just by the door, thus saving space in the main room. The whole place was serviced immaculately during our entire stay, and the girls doing so were always cheerful.||The bathroom was notable for the large square semi-sunken bath which Mrs EPR very much endorsed. The shower seemed equally desirable but never reached a temperature above barely lukewarm, which really was a major irritant. Regular reports made no difference and we declined the offer to swap to a smaller room; other than this blip, the suite was ideal. Ultimately, a compromise was reflected within our bill and this fair and reasonable gesture was appreciated.||Breakfast is taken in a small area adjacent to Reception. Guests are requested to indicate a preferred arrival time to even out the numbers using the buffet. Not too much of a problem during the week, but the pressure is definitely on at the weekend when every table was in use with the residue spilling over into the lounge area. No complaints about the buffet itself; a small central plinth was laden with all the usual favourites, all fresh and all replaced quickly when supplies became low. Coffee is via an intriguing machine which didn’t reflect the brit taste for latte so I used the always-fresh filter coffee with milk from the cereal area. Breakfast is overseen by a very nice conscientious lady, whilst other staff diligently pitch in when the pressure is on.||For this visit, we engaged with reception staff more than usual and they were all friendly, helpful and personable throughout. ||There are loads of decent restaurants just a stroll away, as are the main old-town sites, and the nearest tram stop is equally close. The train station is a 20-minute trek but accesses many interesting locations. For example, the region’s secondary jewel, Colmar, is only 30 minutes away by rail.||I must admit that we developed rather a soft spot for the D, and it’s a good base to a explore a city which deserves a far greater...
Read moreWe came around 17.00 hours and the woman at the reception was very kind and helpful. She let us choose between 2 rooms. We chose the room on the attic. Really romantic and it had a lot of space. The room is luxurious and you can turn your lights on with the card of the room. Really handy and so you'll never loose it. The airco worked well. The shower was pretty and had enough space. In the bathroom the washing table was pretty and they had an extra mirror so you could see anything in close up. The bed was good, we had a table with 2 chairs and a desk. In the closet you'd find a save to store all the important things. The bathrobes were nice and we had enough towels. There's free wifi and you can watch television. When you'll leave the room you can use the pretty stairs when the elevator is taking too long. Otherwise you'll have to use the card of the room to use the elevator. Really handy so strangers can't come to the rooms. Gives a safe feeling. We went out for the evening and then the night doorman was there. The only thing we missed was having a bar so you can drink something right there. The breakfast buffet was good. The space was pretty but small. We came around 09.45 hours so gladly we could sit. We got our borg back immediately the next day. We loved that the staff could speak English. Really a good place to go to and get your rest in luxury. It's like a 10 minute walk...
