This is a lovely chalet in Morzine, France. An excellence residence for winter sports groups of friends, situated about five minutes walk from the Morzine/ Les Gets ski lift . I have been two years in succession for a week's stay in January. It has open comfortable spaces for socialising with a welcoming log fire ; very well appointed modern bedrooms with en suite showers. L'Occitaine extras, and a fluffy white robe and slippers for paying a visit to the hot tub with its view of Morzine all make it more special.(There is also a separate bathroom for those who prefer a soak to a shower) . There is also a games room and a ski store/ cloakroom for wet items. Each year the chalet hosts have been excellent: very personable; polite, friendly and considerate. They cooked superb food throughout my stay, meeting my individual dietary requirements where required. Delicious cake each afternoon welcomed us in from the slopes. Hand crafted canapes appeared with a pre dinner drink, at 7.00pm followed by a four course meal of beautifully presented tasty dishes ( well balanced portions without making you feel that you had over eaten) including a different local cheese each evening and a choice of recommended wines. A well stocked honesty bar was also available. I can heartily...
Read moreWe have been coming to Milan Noir for 6 years now. It really is a home from home. There are so many good points. |1) Location - A short walk to the town centre|2) Cleanliness - the chalets looks just as good as when we first started renting it. |3) Rooms - There is no such thing as the “bad” room. Often when we travel in a large group, someone pulls the short straw and gets a pretty average room. Not here, they’re all fab and en-suite. |4) Chalet staff - Obviously, they change every year. They have all been fantastic. Kate & Chris (Mountain Space owners), must have excellent recruitment skills. |5) Food - I have stayed in some chalets in the past were we have asked the chalet staff to not bother cooking it was so bad (we were a bit more diplomatic than that), every meal was lovely. We noted any dietary requirements and they were all adhered to. Coming home to freshly made cakes was a real treat. |6) Hot tub - What can be better than slipping into a hot tub post ski with mountain views??||All in all I can’t recommend this chalet and company enough, why else would we come back year after year?||We were also so lucky with the snow, they...
Read moreAll of the previous reviews on here are spot on. || ||We booked the whole chalet for the week, and from start to finish, the communication and services provided were excellent and we couldn't fault anything (and for people that know me, that is unusual!!)||||This is an excellent chalet, well positioned within Morzine, and well managed by Kate and Chris. What was particularly pleasing was that the chalet hosts are all slightly older and experienced (not the usual 18 year olds that the main tour operators recruit with no experience). ||||The menu was out of this world and excellently presented each day. The attention to detail was incredible and the wine pairing was a lovely touch.||||Our hosts Abbe and Sian, later joined by Crystal and Josh were FANTASTIC, especially as we were the last guests of the season. Having an open plan kitchen meant that we were able to talk to them and include them in our evening (though I'm not sure they'll ever tough Drambuie again!!). They really made our week special and we would like to thank them all for looking after us so well and wish them well in their...
