We got put in Saskia 3702 for our ski trip. (2 Adults + 1 Child) Positives - Reception are quire helpful - Great views of the town centre and fornet ski area - This is located very close to the parking pickup/dropoff area (5mins) - Sherpa supermarket very close - Close to the meeting point for ski lessons Considerations (for us) - Rooms are very very tired and generally unclean. A considerable departure to the marketing photos! - Underwhelming shower! Pretty slow flow by my own standards - No oven so as far as self catering it can be very limiting - Kitchen utensils are a bit limited - Wifi for internet. Practically non existent so dont expect great connectivity or throughput for internet access - No duvets/pillow are made. You have to DIY - No bags were provided for rubbish/recycling - I have to question how ofter pillows/duvets are cleaned for next patrons use as the sofa ones are stashed underneath Things worth noting - Hairdryer can be requested at the reception if you need one! - Dont forget there is local tax to pay If you here in Avoriaz to ski and just need a place to put your head down and dont mind the very dated decor then this is really ok. But if you wanted a little more clean upbeat comfort or a place that you want to self cater then I would reconsider this accommodation Its not bad accommodation but I probably wouldn't stay here again based on my own requirements

We stayed in the elehenia building which was absolutely fantastic ! It was rated a four star apartment and that’s exactly what It was. Very good quality furnishings , great condition and an excellent location for the ski lifts, restaurants and bars. The whole resort is like Disneyland for skiers , no cars allowed and you can literally ski in and out of your apartment. We were issued a locker for our ski equipment with spike heaters for five pairs of ski boots and plenty of room for skis , helmets etc ! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be visiting again !!

On aurait apprécié quelques étagères.

I am not a review writer by any stretch but..... credit where credit is due!

NOTE: 2 x Adults, 1 X 19 yr old and 1 X 15 yr old (essentially 4 x Adults).

LOCATION: this block in Avoriaz is brilliantly located on the upper portion cliff side of the village on the cliff edge. A Sherpa shop (which is well stocked) is 25 seconds walk from the front doors, Skiset equipment hire 15 seconds walk from the front doors, a selection of restaurants 35 seconds from front doors. Snow permitting, ski straight from boot room to lifts at the bottom of the town (we skied first week of April 2025). It really does not get easier than this when it comes to skiing!! If you are new to skiing or have small children there is a small drag lift next to the bloc which makes an amazing practice slope (snow permitting).

STAFF: Lovely staff who speak fabulous English. Could not have been more helpful, obliging or accommodating. If they can help, they will help.

APPARTEMENTS: Yep they are compact but perfectly formed. If you are organised and orderly you will not have a problem staying here. A place for everything and everything in its place. Pack light, think 'capsular style wardrobe' and you will be well away. There is everything you need in the 'kitchen' (other than an oven obviously .... which is pretty standard in these types of apartment). There is a 4 ring hob and a selection of pans to make pasta and sauce or the like and pans for frying bacon and eggs for breakfast buns/bagguette. Nespresso coffee machine made life simple too. The mattresses are 'alright' but then I have stayed in places with far worse that charge far more! Realistically, these apartments are all about being out on the mountain (whatever time of year), not luxury 5* accommodation. They are what they are, and our family was pleasantly surprised. Just prime yourself for compact orderly living and team work.

VIEW: If you are lucky enough to get an apartment cliff side you will have one of the best views in Avoriaz hands down. Try and book an apartment with a balcony (most have them) as this gives you a little extra space as well as a space to enjoy the mountain view and sunshine from. You can keep drinks cool out there in winter or hang things out to air or dry in the sunshine. Cliff side gets the sun. Street side is north facing.

AVORIAZ: We booked last min spring skiing. We have visited the Portes Du Soleil twice before (Morzine and Chatel) but this was the first time we have stayed in Avoriaz which had never appealed. However the price was right so we booked it. We were booked on a pretty quiet week which made for a good holiday. I am not sure I would want to be there during a very busy period, but that is more because our family is used to rural quiet locations. However, as purpose built resorts go, it is well thought out and has everything you need for skiing. It sits in the heart of the Portes Du Soleil and so is great for exploring different areas. It has something for everyone. Plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, equipment hire and...

What a massive disappointment this resort was !||We love Avoriaz and are seasoned skiers all over the world so we spend a lot of time researching and choosing the correct accommodation for our half term ski trip vacation. ||The apartment is definitely not cheap - if we had had a budget deal my opinion would be slightly different - but paying top dollar for an apartment with extreme damp was completely unacceptable. ||The reception staff were completely unhelpful and we had to suffer a week in this honestly rancid place. ||My wife and youngest daughter both suffer from asthma so staying a full week in an apartment with so much damp in the walls was medically unacceptable - however reception and the general manager quite honestly did not care and just kept saying that this apartment was the only one they had available and could not change it. ||We even returned back from a days skiing early to meet the manager after he had called my mobile to have a wasted half of the day because the meeting was to reiterate that they didn’t have any other options!! ||I have attached pictures of the apartment and it’s damp and broken wardrobe doors etc etc ||We were given a tiny refund as a gesture of supposed goodwill and their answer to the damp was a room boy with a can of spray ! This as I told them strongly with my medical background would not be sufficient to kill off the damp spores in abundance. ||But the poor levels of customer service offered and received and the way we were made to feel like second class citizens because we were not staying in the 5 star residence - which we have stayed in before - and that we just had to endure this apartment for the week. ||We will not be rushing back and I certainly won’t be recommending this place to anyone anytime soon ...... ||Extremely poor in all aspects because even in extreme circumstances customer service can still be...
