We stayed at Chalet Neva during the half term, when Avoriaz is at the busiest. First time at Chalet Neva and first time with my family in the falaise area, we always stay in the “busy center”. And what an AMAZING holiday we had! The chalet is absolutly stunning, clean and gorgeous and a lot of more space compare to Avoriaz standards.(most of the places in Avoriaz are really small).
Location: actually very happy with it. The ease you just walk out your own place, no lifts, no waiting, just a doorstep away from the snow is amazing. Also Falaise offers a bakery and a supermarkt in like 50m range. Ideal location with the kids. Also the center is on walking distance or you take a transport.
Chalet: gorgeous and such a smart lay out. Lovely cosy livingroom, good bedrooms and a brilliant hallway where you can stuff all your skigear. Dressing yourself and the kids without sweat in the morning because there is space! What a relief. Very clean bathrooms, good light and during the day if the sun is shining you could sit at the balcony and enjoy this. Also behind the chalet is a perfect snow area where kids can play safely/make a snowman, sledge or whatever, and you can watch them from the house! Absolutly brilliant. We were 2 adults and 3 kids and it was lovely to have so much space in Avoriaz.
Nikki is a lovely owner who helps you out where she cans and we highly recommend this or any one ther place shes got.
The guidebook that comes with the house is so handy, absolute love it.
Def a 10/10 holiday beyond my expectations and we rebooked...
Read moreOur stay at Chalet Neva was brilliant. Firstly the location is incredible - ski to your door is just perfect - but the amenities such as the fantastic bakery and supermarket are just great to nip out.
The chalet is warm and cosy. We were a party of 5 adults and 3 children , + 1 baby. The rooms are compact, but it is to be expected for a chalet with such a good location. It's a 3 bedroom, with a fourth off one of the double rooms - this worked well, but if your children are light sleepers, to get to the toilet and to the kitchen via the bunk room, needs a bit of stealth ninja work!
We had a couple of maintenance issues whilst we were there, but they have a lovely in-house resort team, Sophie & Luca on hand. Nothing was too much trouble and they really were great. Hats off to them as they support all the chalets and were really great with us.
The only slight issue we had was booking a baby kit for our 1 year old. We needed a high chair and were given a booster seat. This really wasn't safe enough and we did ask for this to be changed, but they couldn't offer one. We were refunded 50% - but worth knowing if you're travelling with a baby, as the booster seat would not work. The cot also doesn't come with a mattress - so if your baby is used to sleeping on a decent mattress, you might need to re-think and hire one. We managed to bulk it out so it was more comfortable for our little one - who slept fine, but just worth noting.
We will definitely be back! Thank you Nikki,...
Read moreWe stayed in Chalet Ardoisière for 6 nights as a party of 3 adults, and we had a wonderful time. We loved the location right on the piste, and the beautiful south-facing mountain views. The hot tub was perfect for both mornings and evenings, and we enjoyed the sauna too. Great to have heated boot racks and ski storage right by the front door. We ate in every night and the kitchen was well equipped with all we needed. Nikki was an excellent host, taking care of lift passes and ski rental for us, dealing efficiently with other questions, and kindly helping us out with essentials when we arrived late on a Sunday. We’d never stayed in Avoriaz before, usually opting for the 3 Vallées, but we loved the car-free resort with horse-drawn sleighs, as well as the organic architecture, and we now look forward to staying with Avoriaz Chalets...
