Poorly Maintained and Misleading Listing This was one of the most run-down hostels I’ve ever stayed in. The property is in a severe state of neglect—dirty, broken, and clearly not maintained with care. The hostel is owned by a gentleman from Iran who appears to take little to no responsibility for the place and shows no respect to his guests. Basic maintenance issues are ignored, and guest comfort isn't a priority. That said, the manager, Aliona, is a kind and helpful woman who genuinely tries to take care of the place and make guests feel welcome. However, there's only so much she can do when the owner refuses to invest in even the most basic repairs. Rooms were smelly, lights didn’t work, and beds were missing sheets—just a bare duvet cover in some cases. Power sockets were dangerously loose, with exposed wiring. During my stay, the power failed on several days, but instead of apologizing to the guests, the owner was asking for more money. Despite hosting over twenty guests, only one bathroom was accessible, as the second one remained locked without explanation. The bathroom door couldn't be locked either due to a broken lock that never got fixed. Toilet paper was not provided, so guests had to supply their own. The kitchen was poorly equipped, and the gas stove was so old and damaged it felt unsafe to use. The sink even collapsed during my stay and looked ready to fall apart again at any moment. To make matters worse, the owner occasionally called guests late at night to check in new arrivals—to avoid hiring a proper overnight manager. Many of the amenities listed on Booking were also misleading. There was no washing machine, no terrace, and some of the photos the owner uploaded here are taken from other hotels, not this property, to mislead potential guests.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this place was so bad I felt I had to warn others. The hostel listing is completely misleading. The photos don’t reflect the actual condition of the property. It’s dirty, run-down, and in serious need of repair. My room had no bedsheets, the bathroom lock was broken, and exposed electrical wires made me feel unsafe. What’s worse, the owner tried to pressure me into paying six months’ rent upfront, claiming it was needed to “help” with getting a residence card. I later confirmed with officials that this isn’t required at all. It felt manipulative and dishonest. Power outages happened frequently, and instead of fixing anything or apologizing, the owner just kept making excuses and even asked for more money. He also has a habit of calling guests late at night to assist with check-ins — unprofessional and exhausting. There’s one staff member who genuinely tries to help, but she’s clearly doing the job of several people without proper support. Overall, this was one of the most uncomfortable and untrustworthy places I’ve stayed in. Would not recommend under any circumstances.

Poorly Maintained and Misleading Listing

This was one of the most run-down hostels I’ve ever stayed in.

This place should be shut down. I’ve stayed in dozens of hostels across Europe, but this was by far the most disgusting and dangerous one I’ve ever encountered.

The photos online are a complete scam. Nothing matches reality. There’s no washing machine, no terrace, and some of the pictures are clearly stolen from other properties. Total false advertising.

The room I stayed in reeked of mold, the lights didn’t work, and some beds had no sheets at all—just a bare duvet cover. Power sockets were literally falling out of the wall, exposing live wires. That’s not just dirty—it’s dangerous.

There were over 30 guests crammed into the place, but only one bathroom was usable. The second one was locked with no explanation. The available bathroom didn’t have a working lock, and there was no toilet paper provided—guests had to go out and buy their own.

The kitchen was a nightmare. The stove looked like it could explode any second, and the sink actually collapsed while I was there. Nobody came to fix it.

Power went out multiple times during my stay. No apologies. Instead, the owner had the audacity to ask for more money from guests. At one point, he even called guests in the middle of the night to let in new arrivals—because he refuses to hire a proper night staff.

There’s one staff member who tried to help, but she’s clearly not supported and has no resources to fix anything.

This place is not just bad—it’s deceptive, unsafe, and a complete scam. Save yourself the stress and stay far away from this dump. Booking platforms should remove this...
