I have visited (and slept in) Tbilisi multiple times during my Georgian trip. I have stayed in 3 other hostels but was not satisfied by any of them. I found 'Tbili C' hostel very small, dark and too many bunk beds cramped in a small smelly room. The neigbourhood was very shady too. Not the best part of town to stay in. My second hostel was in 'Ms Jackson' which was a whole lot better but had a very unwelcoming owner that didn't seemed to be pleased at all when I asked for a room there. There was a very strong nicotine smell in the whole hostel, including the dorm. It also took me al long time to find the place as there was no sign at the door. So 1 night was more then enough for me. Third hostel was 'Georgia on my mind'. A very small place. Just two very small rooms and a narrow hallway. The toilet in the dorm stank awfully and the whole (small) dorm was filled with the smell of it. Everybody complaint about it. Really digusting!||||So then I came to Hostel Portal. Finally I had come to the right place: super clean, super new, super quiet, super friendly owner (no english though but he is trying very hard) and very comfortable beds. It has a lot of room so very suitable for groups too. Many shops, bakeries and restaurants within a 2 minutes walking range and the hostel has four very nice BIG showers with shiny clean tiles. I am sure you will agree that this is a very comfortable place to stay.||||Only downside that I can think of is that you will have to take a bus to the city centre. But as the bus leaves from just outside the hostel and it is very very cheap, this is hardly a downside in my book.||||I really recommend this one. Of all the hostels I stayed in during my 3 weeks in Georgia, this hostel is actually the only one that I felt the need to write...

Read moreThe place is ridiculously clean! You will be embarrassed to drop a single crumb on the floor and it’s also a no no to eat in the room. The owner is very nice though doesn’t speak much english. He comes with online translator. The cleaner is also very friendly. This place is perfect with only a few walking distance to the freedom square. Supermarket...
