My shoes were thrown out and I had a hard time getting my money back!

Bad: Staff negligence. During our stay, the housekeeping staff accidentally threw out a box containing the new sneakers we bought on our first day at the hotel! The housekeeping staff thought the box was empty. The hotel staff apologized, gave us a free dinner at the restaurant, and promised a refund for the sneakers to my bank card within 7 days. The price of the issue was 200 GEL. I received an invoice confirming this promise and we checked out of the hotel. 12 days later, the money still hadn't arrived. I wrote to the hotel on WhatsApp. My message was read but no reply. Then I wrote to them for 3 more days in a row, the messages were read, but there was no response at all. My WhatsApp call was rejected. After that, I wrote to the Ginza hotel's general email and within an hour, they answered on WhatsApp and offered to call me back. The hotel representative assured me that the problem was not on their side. I asked for documents confirming the transaction from the hotel bank and the date of the transaction. I received the money three days after this dialogue, but the hotel still did not provide me any documents about the transaction. Thus, I conclude that they either had no intention of refunding me and ignored my messages or did not want to admit that they forgot. Either way, ignoring in this situation I think is unacceptable. Especially since we spent 10 times more money in the hotel during our stay and were planning to stay in this hotel on...

Location is 15min walk from Tbilisi Old town or 2 min by car or bus (the bus stop is right next to the hotel). Great service, polite and helpful staff, nice restaurant on top of the building with great views, free treats in reception area and free parking. Good value for money

We took one suit + a single room all joined up which was nice and spacious given we were traveling with kids, although there were many items in the room which weren’t really necessary (e.g. way too many puffs and tables but limited place to put your luggage).

Given the location right along the busy street our room was a bit noisy, plus there was a sewage smell in our bathroom (we asked to fix it but seems it’s a structural / ventilation issue, anyway it wasn’t fixed). In addition to street noise - the ventilation in the bathroom couldn’t be switched off and it was quite noisy too, so if you like a nice quiet sleep - you might be disappointed.

One thing that was really a bit irritating is that the beautiful outside terrace a is really just a smoking room for everyone in the restaurant. So the people sitting inside would go out for a smoke to the outside terrace while you sit and eat there, and at some point you have 5-7 people smoking around you - this is not nice.

The food in the restaurant was just delicious, which makes this smoking thing really...

Of course they gave us the run around, first thing they did is tell us they can take in 3 adults and gave us a king bed for 3, then they said they’ll get us a small bed to sleep in as well, then they had us wait and gave us tea to drink, had us wait 30 minutes to check in then they came to us and told us that it’s not in this building and they have to take us to another building, they’re not upfront and honest with anything, they kept giving us excuses for everything, no honesty at all, after we dropped our bags off in the room the air conditioning was working, we left the room then came back to sleep and it was hot in the room and we thought the air conditions had turned off because the card wasn’t in the slot of the room so we tried to turn it on and it wouldn’t work, we called the reception and they said they’ll send someone over, the person came and said it’s broken and didn’t repair it, asked for fans they didn’t have any, they told us to open the window for air and it’s summer so it’s hot and all the bugs came in, we ended up sleeping woke up sweating got up showered and checked out, we had grabbed one drink from the fridge to stay hydrated from the heat and they didn’t compensate us or give us good service.
