A Total Disappointment — Frozen Food, Tasteless Dishes & Overpriced
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely awful. The meat was clearly frozen — rubbery, dry, and completely flavorless. There was no freshness, no aroma, just bland chunks that felt like they came straight from a freezer pack.
The “fried rice” was the biggest joke — it was literally just jeera rice. No vegetables, no flavor, no effort. Not even a single pea. Calling it fried rice is an insult to actual Indian cuisine.
Every dish we tried was equally disappointing — dull, lifeless, and clearly not made with any passion or care.
On top of all that, the prices were outrageously high. And to make it worse, they added VAT as if the food deserved it.
Total waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Couldn’t reply to you reply so I’m texting here
As you said we said food was good because we couldn’t say it on your face but my friend literally asked you (is it fried rice or jeera rice) because it has lot of jeera and you said Indians like jeera. We never had a fried rice with jeera. And we ordered hydrabadi mutton biryani and some mutton biryani, once the food is served we had it and later same friend asked you what is the difference between these two , and you said hydrabadi biryani has more capsicum. And also you mentioned it’s affordable price, maybe you are right, what I’m trying to say is for this food it’s over priced and you added ( 18%vat on top of the bill). And you mentioned plates were empty, yes it’s true we tried our best to finish it since we are paying for it, still we couldn’t finish it because the chicken was pink and mutton we rolled...
Read moreAfter some try here and there, we liked food to our taste. Last day with prior information we were served excellent kadi pakoda. Aloo and gobhi paratha, veg biryani were superb. For repeat customer 20 pc discount. Main hub, always full. Overall reasonable , INR 6500 for 6 persons with beer and mocktails. Only thing missing is live music. I did propose to owner Firoj for playing saxophone but somehow he could not organise speaker. Last day we cheered for the chef and staff who hail from Uttrakhand, UP and Siliguri. All tourists please do not waste time in searching and negotiating discount being offered from many other indian restaurants nearby. Just chose this and enjoy veg / non veg meals of your native taste. With prior information they will prepare and serve...
Read moreI recently dined at Indus Aroma and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and aromatic spices set the perfect mood.
The food was nothing short of amazing! The butter chicken was rich and creamy, perfectly paired with soft, fluffy naan. The biryani was fragrant, packed with flavor, and had the perfect balance of spices. I also tried the samosas, which were crispy on the outside and filled with a deliciously spiced potato mixture.
The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and quick. The staff took the time to explain the dishes and even recommended some great pairings.
Overall, if you’re a fan of authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place to be! I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly...
