Two Stars? Two stars are primarily for price rises and the exchange of cheaper ingredients to once cherished favourites. The main fare is porridge and it's made with water and salt. Although nothing is presbyterian or Scots from there on in. Chocolate (which is now a miserly congregation of cheap chocolate drops rather than the luxurious stuff they had before) , Banana and even Goji Berries and Goats Cheese are on the menu. It's a sleek designer interior, less generic than Zeit für Brot next door, but yet somehow a non-space. Haferkater knows its demographic and unashamedly caters to the Hipster and the Tripster. Not for nothing to you often get asked to vacate the big laptop table for a meeting of 'Influencers'. If this kind of thing floats your boat, then all well and good. One thing missing in this place: numbering/labeling the bowls or serving by the name—they simply don’t care who grabs whose bowl and it’s a total chaos. Oh the next thing that’s missing here: the “porridge” itself. It’s less than the half of the bowl content. It kinda feels like the “porridge” place is very careful about the amount of “porridge” they want to serve. 2 bowls of Hafer plus 2 coffee and there goes your 20 Euros. Visit only in case of an...

The porridge all together was too sweet for our liking, but it was to be expected as it was covered in syrup, sweet granola, fruit and dark chocolate. I think the options without chocolate are more balanced. Oatmeal is made with water, it had a consistency i have never seen before but maybe they cook porridge differently in Germany? Nothing special, but good on the go or if you crave something like this. Perfect portion size! And good americano. Clean bathroom with sanitary products...
