I recently attended a birthday dinner for a friend at Verdis, and frankly, the experience left much to be desired. Right from the start, we were reminded of our limited time at the table, setting an unwelcoming tone that persisted throughout the evening. Despite being a party of six, we felt hurried and pressured to finish our meal quickly. To add insult to injury, when our party finally split, we were guided to another table, further highlighting the unnecessary rush we had endured. It was baffling to see that the party who took our spot only stayed for a drink, making the hurried service even more unjustified. What's worse, we had explicitly mentioned that we were gathering for a birthday celebration, expecting at least a modicum of consideration for the occasion. Unfortunately, it seemed our special event was of little importance to the staff at Verdis.

Now, onto the food—disappointing would be an understatement. The flavors were lackluster, a far cry from the exceptional quality I've come to expect from Verdis. And let's talk about the cocktails. While I appreciate a strong drink, these were downright undrinkable, tasting more like pure rum or gin than a well-balanced cocktail. It's as if they forgot the concept of moderation altogether.

The seating area is huge and you could also sit outdoors. Service in general is fine considering the crowd. By the way, it is crowded during mealtimes. Hence, reservations are suggested. You could also try out pure vegetarian food here like in other Indian restaurants. Cold and earn beverages are available. Cocktails were nicely made. Food quantities are not huge and you might want to consider this when placing your order. You are more likely to find local Germans than Indians in the customers.
