A nightmare experience, due to which I risked spending the night on the street. I had booked a room through the booking website, mentioning in the reservation that I would have arrived between 22 and 23h. However, when I arrived the hotel was closed and no one was answering the emergency phone number provided. After 20 minutes, another guest let me in and after other 20 minutes I eventually managed to contact the hotel owner from an internal phone number. They eventually told me that a room had been prepared for me with key on the door. Of course if the other guest wouldn't have let me in, I would have had to search for another room at 23h. In addition, the room did not correspond to the one in the picture, but was much smaller, ugly and warm. Plus, there were screamings on the street for the whole night. Unfortunately after the check out I had forgotten my hairdryer in the room and went to search for it at 16 (time when the reception was advertised to be open). Again, no one was there and after 30 minutes the neighbor let me in so I could wait inside. When the hotel owner finally arrived, she became very unfriendly and said that the price I had paid through booking was so low that I could not expect to have the right to spend the night at the hotel. Read moreI had an amazing stay in that place. The interior has seen better days but it is clean and you will feel very welcomed by the owners who will do everything to make your stay comfortable.||||The location could not be better, 50 meters to the Marktplatz (city centre) 50 meters to the Hofgarten and 400 meter on foot to the Rhein promenade.||||It should be noted that rooms with windows toward the street could be a bit noisier but I came back after 11pm at night and apparently by that time all is quiet.||The reception is on the first floor, There is a bell outside to get into the building and it also has a small elevator.||The entrance to the Parkhaus Marktgarage is right opposite the hotel entrance, just be aware that you will exit the garage on foot at the Marktplatz.||||Overall, if you look for a small clean, central, family run hotel, the...
Read moreI enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It is located a stone's throw from the old town but by the calm street. Room (I was staying at the apartment which turned out to be a regular flat, with a large living room, cozy bedroom and a fully operational kitchen!) was clean and tidy. It had everything what is needed for a stay.||The hotel itself seems to be a tenement house turned into a hotel. Breakfast is served from 7am and consist of buffet and some warm dishes prepared by a waiter on demand.||Hotel has also a small fridge filled up with alcoholic and non beverages being sold with fair prices. There is also a fast wifi accessible free of charge.||I must praise the staff, which was extremely helpful, polite...
