We booked the classic double room and I did not know what to expect, but this room and hotel beat all expectations! Wonderful location on square with Christmas market, beautiful lobby, helpful staff and the room was amazing. Large king sized bed lots of space, desk, divan across end of bed, lounge chair, vanity room with clothes rack, bath tub, and separate room with shower and toilet. I did have a hard time finding open outlets, there was no towel warmer (but room was warm), and the bed felt short sheeted because the duvet was really tucked in (I can't get used to small personal sized duvets, and they get really hot. Just give me a sheet!) We added on breakfast our last morning as nothing was nearby and our ride was coming at 9. It was expensive 28 euros each but was a very nice buffet, with one made for you item per meal. I don't recommend the pancakes. Amenities included hair dryer and shampoo/body wash. Soap and lotion in vanity area.

First I have to say, that all the staff were nice and polite. The hotel is on a perfect spot right in center of Dresden. But I fell very disappointed. Especially when I compare prices with other hotels in Dresden. In our room we found dirty carpet, dirty glasses in room (Coca Cola glasses LOL), rusty bottle opener, empty minibar because of Covid-19, cracked tiles in bathroom, remotecontrol covered in plastic wrap (also Covid-19), closed rooftop bar (main picture on Booking), horrible breakfast - everything covered in plastic wrap, very poor automat coffee, so limited selection, doesn't worth the price. Covid-19 situation could be solved much better than this for the money. For example a la carte breakfast. Other bars and restaurants were open so I assume, that hotel rooftop bar was closed for other reason and we should be informed earlier than when checking in.

No bathrobes, internet extremely slow, the fridge is empty, no kettle, no free electric socket near bed. The shower was really nice, the location is great. Cleanliness is so-so. Breakfast is really poor and it's strange how they serve it. Some food is there to be grabbed, like salami, cheese and fruits, but you can also order from a menu, something like scrambled eggs. If you order you have to wait a lot and when it finally arrives it's a really small portion with a very strange taste. If you don't order you have to eat salami and cheese and that's not nearly enough. Overall, the breakfast is really poor and I really don't recommend it. When I arrived at the hotel, I parked my car at the rear of the building because if I was to continue to the front would've ment to enter the square and I didn't know the rules. I walked on foot to the reception and I clearly explained that I want to dropp-off my luggage and to leave with my car to the city. I clearly explained that I don't plan to use the hotel parking, that is too expensive. The girl told me that the only way to leave my luggage is to go to the underground parking and I did that. After we did the check-in and let our luggage in the room I went to the reception to asked if they can clear the card for the hour that took us to check in and they said I have to pay for it. So I had to pay 5 euro for the drop-off. This never happened to me before, all hotels lets you do the check-in parking for free, except this one. After staying there I saw other cars entering the square to the front of the hotel without any problems. At check-out I did the same, it wad no problem. Another problem with reception it was that we had to call 3 times before someone picked up. The receptionists should be better trained. In conclusion I will never stay again...

This could be a great hotel. Sadly, it is far from it. |In terms of position it has absolutely everything going for it. It is on the Altmark next to the Frauenkirche. It is a short walk from just about everything in historic Dresden. It has parking underground which connects directly to the hotel by lift. And that fast lift is probably the best amenity in the hotel. The modern rooms are reasonably sized.|Downhill after that. The mini bar might be free. Which was a suprise until one realised there was not much in it. More useful would have been a kettle and some tea, ocffee and a biscuit. The management needs to put the staff on a course. The WiFi is pretty lousy. There is no proper heating control for the room so the only option is to leave the window open. Which means that you get woken up by the street and, in our case, the bin men. The bathroom is moderate but the bidet tap was loose and the basin tap rusted under waste pull.|There are no free points by the bed for your devices. |The common parts are decorated in a colour that will make you a manic depressive if you were not one already. |The bar on the 6th floor is quite nice but not very comfortable and the barman adds nothing to the atmospshere with his offhand unwelcoming manner. When I first went up he thought it more important to carry on chatting to his friend. |Avoid the over priced breakfast. The bean counters have been at it. Meat slices transparent thin cut. The ordered eggs were terrible. Find a local cafe instead. You will enjoy it more and...

We spent 2 nights at the Townhouse Dresden in late July 2025.||The hotel is hosted in one of the building which were thoroughly rebuilt in the years 2000s just as they were, as part of the amazing reconstruction project which brought to new life the history and palatial city centre. ||The Townhouse is in fact located at the heart of Dresden on the Neumarkt, perfect for sightseeing, dining, etc||||The hotel style is modern eclectic, rooms are airy, modern and super comfy. You will even get the first round of minibar for free but not coffee/tea facilities. If you book directly you though get access to the lounge where you will find coffee, tea and some sweets. This was actually the only disappointment of our stay. The lounge is lovely but the offered items are really sparse and could be really improved. So if you're not getting free access, we wouldn't recommend to pay any extra charge for it!||Ask for a room overlooking the square!||Breakfast is really good in both quality and choices, with a very nice buffet plus a menu for some a la carte options! A great way to start the day!||||Staff are all lovely, welcoming and professional. ||||In all a wonderful choice to explore charming Dresden and be at the centre of the...
