10 facts about my stay Linen Caused Severe Itching – After lying on the bed for 90 minutes, I developed a severe allergic reaction, as shown in the attached photo. Fortunately, I had my own linen with me. (I was only staying here during a move)
Strong Smell of Smoke – Despite being a non-smoking room, the entire place reeked of cigarette smoke mixed with mold. The ventilation system in the mold-infested bathroom seemed to carry the smoke into every room.
No Hot Water in the Bathroom & Front Desk Refused to Help – When I reported the issue to the front desk at 7:35 PM on January 26, along with other maintenance problems, I firmly requested a solution. However, the self-centered female receptionist dismissed my concerns, stating that other guests often had the same issue. She then refused to address the problem, claiming that my firm tone was “disrespectful,” and even threatened to cancel my booking and kick me out of the hotel if I continued to speak firmly. I can assure you that while my tone was serious and firm, I never spoke disrespectfully. The hotel owner can check the security footage as evidence. It is unfortunate that such a lazy and self-centered employee is representing your establishment.
Receptionist Threatened to Cancel My Booking – When I accepted her offer to check out immediately, she suddenly changed her mind and refused to cancel my booking. Instead, she demanded that I return the room key and leave on my own. She also made it clear that if I stayed, I would have to accept taking cold showers in January. When I agreed to her terms, she still refused to follow through and continued trying to force me out.
I Was Threatened and Extorted by the Receptionist – Realizing that I couldn’t reason with her, I requested to speak with her manager. She dismissively responded, “I don’t care, you can even talk to my boss.” When I took her up on that and asked for the hotel owner’s contact information, she sarcastically told me to “go find him at the train station.” After I insisted, she reluctantly pointed to a contact information sign and told me to call the number. However, as soon as I take a picture of the contact info under her instruction, she suddenly accused me of potentially capturing her in the frame and repeatedly demanded money from me. When I refused, she threatened to search my phone and call the police. After reading the Google reviews, I saw that others were also threatened by the same way after failing to communicate with her. It’s clear that this is her usual lazy tactic, she just wants to play on her phone.
I Was Bitten by Bugs – Run!
Broken Safe – That female receptionist who I mentioned earlier refused to help, and questioned me why I only mentioned it now, it was 19:30 at the time. Because I only discovered that the safe was not working when I was about to go out for dinner. I didn’t use it the night before, so I wouldn’t have noticed. Providing me with a hotel room with unbroken amenities should be the hotel’s responsibility.
Blankets Smelled Like the Previous Guest – Meanwhile There is someone else’s blood on the pillow (as shown in the picture), possibly from bug bites as well.
Broken Heater – On my first night here, the heater in my original room was stuck on, making the room unbearably hot (feeling over 30°C). Fortunately, the male receptionist on duty that night was professional, warm, and welcoming. He promptly arranged for me to switch rooms. His attitude was the only reason I initially chose not to leave a review, as I saw the staff’s efforts and didn’t want to hurt their feelings. However, after my disturbing encounter with that female receptionist, I feel compelled to share my experience.
I Actually Feel Sorry for the Hotel Owner – In their defense, I understand that running an old hotel isn’t easy. Most of the staff here were nice. However, the misconduct behavior of a single employee ruined my stay. Ultimately, there are many cleaner but even more affordable accommodations nearby—do yourself a favor and...
Read moreMy recent stay was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, the front desk informed us our room wasn't ready, which is understandable given the 3 PM check-in time. However, the lack of communication regarding the estimated waiting time for us to return and store our luggages were unacceptable. We were left waiting with no updates, and had a less-than-ideal experience have to ask the front desk if we can leave our luggages and come back. Upon our return after 3 PM, the room assigned by the front desk was not cleaned, indicating a breakdown in communication between the front desk and housekeeping. It would be more beneficial and have more efficient system for managing room readiness. While we appreciated the re-assignment of our room, the faulty door lock in the new room was a major issue. It's crucial that the hotel ensures all rooms have functioning locks for guest safety and security. Regular maintenance checks are necessary. The difficulty with the faulty door lock in our new room significantly impacted our stay. The constant worry about security and fire safety overshadowed our enjoyment. It was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating that the hotel elevator was out of order. Having to lug heavy suitcases up numerous flights of stairs to our room which was on the 2nd and 3rd floor was exhausting, especially after a long journey. The staff's lack of urgency in addressing the problem was unacceptable. A broken elevator is a serious inconvenience, and the lack of urgency in getting it fixed was concerning. The hotel needs to have a better system in place for handling such issues promptly, including contingency plans for guests with heavy luggage or mobility challenges. It detracted significantly from what should have been a relaxing vacation. I'm extremely disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone, even the location is near to the Main Central Station. Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof: Safety is a major concern in this area due to the high number of drug dealers and addicts. I felt unsafe walking around, and I wouldn't recommend visiting unless you prioritise your safety...
Read moreArrived early with my family of eight before check-in time of 3 pm. They allowed us to leave our luggages beside the reception in the lobby and gave us nos. for it. Everything was fine until we checked in. While in the room settling down, suddenly our doors opened, the chambermaid has a key she forgot to give towels.Wow! We tried to use the tv & phone to call our group in the other rooms, not working!!! We informed the lady who suddenly opened our doors about it, she said she'll send somebody. Indeed somebody came,a soft knock at the door and before i can open it, AGAIN the door sprung open! In came a man with a girl in tow ( his daughter) he tried to fix the tv, but ended up changing it 😊With regards to the phone? No luck, according to this guy its been 3 mos. that no repair man had visited them. Tough luck. My husband & I were freezing cold inside the room, we had to go down the reception to complain about the heater not functioning. (But we checked first the 2 rms of our group and they have at least 1 heater functioning.) You know what they said to us?? THIS IS GERMANY ! WE DON'T USE HEATERS,THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THIS KIND OF CLOTHES!!! (Pointing to his wool vest) SHOUTING I SAID, AM SLEEPING WITH MY THERMALS ON,WHILE THE OTHER MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY ARE SLEEPING IN SHORTS AND COTTON SHIRTS!! WE DEMANDED TO BE TRANSFERRED, he gave us a key to check a room, if its ok with us then we transfer ourselves! That's SERVICE ! No other person in the reception but himself, so no guards. We obliged, but we can't open the room. So he had no option but to accompany us, he opened the door, same. No heater,we asked him to check out the rooms of our group, he saw for himself, they were in shorts and he was sweating with vest on. Solution? HE GAVE US HIS PERSONAL PORTABLE HEATER TO...
