One of the finest hotels in Europe and perhaps one of the best Marriotts In the world.
Starting upon arriving you are immediately taken care of amd I was then escorted to the reception at the 3rd floor. I sadly got sick early during my stay which quite ruined the purpose of my trip, but the whole staff was was very helpful and kindly helped me organizing a delivery for medicine and later in the evening for my lunch, and while hearing that I was sick, the receptionist quickly sent me some tea to my room, a plus touch. The staff in this hotels is perhaps it’s biggest highlight, everybody from the ladies at the breakfast restaurant, to the cleaning staff were very kind and helpful, special mention to the young man from room service that I sadly didn’t remember the name but it was a pleasure to be served by him and to see that this hotel also trains new staff members which is a need in many luxury hotels. The room itself, for which I got upgraded to a nice junior suite has everything you could need and the fact that everything in the minibar including alcohol and refills are included is a large bonus, especially in my situation it perfectly helped me. Another bonus for the shoes care service which is also complimentary and is rare to find in hotels those days. The room design itself is modern and tastefully designed and while it reminded me of both the Radisson collection hotel in Tallinn and the Armani hotel in Milan, it remains very unique and pairs well with the surrounding older city center of Munich. While the indoors design is very pleasant especially the ambiance at the bars and restaurants.
The location right in the city centre allows you to quickly reach the main sights and the shopping areas are reachable in just 5 minutes walk.
The only point that could be improved is the breakfast and room service offerings, that seem pretty limited especially for a top tier The Luxury Collection hotel. It could be solved if for example some dishes from the Greta Oto could be directly added to the room service menu, and while the breakfast lacks warm dishes and fish based offerings, especially in a city like Munich where white sausages and salmon are a specialty. Other than that though this was my best stay during my trip to germany and i will come back there the next times i will pass by Munich. Thank you for this...
Read moreWe loved our experience at the Koenigshof. As a platinum member we were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite and be spoiled with their delicious breakfast each morning. The hotel is only a year old and finely decorated and furnished in a back, gold and green motif. Rooms are beautiful and feel high end and Wi-Fi is premium as is air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious and they do a nice job or serving you drinks and some table service items as well as a very nice buffet with quality ingredients. We had a very kind man who regularly attended to us at breakfast. The reception staff were very good and always responded quickly to needs. We even mentioned how we had a bad experience with a tour guide and next thing we know they offered us a free tour with the fabulous concierge Fabian. He was excellent as a tour guide and concierge. Location is perfect being literally at the edge of old town. The biggest negative was the room attendance. Twice our room was not cleaned and we had to call to have it done. Twice our mini bar was not serviced either, which is a different crew than the cleaning. ‘Turn down’ was mostly someone dropping off a few bottles of water and floor towels and one time they actually turned down the bed. We were flexible with all this but it certainly needs attention or else it will be a big problem for some. Overall will stay again next...
Read moreI recently stayed one night at Königshof, Luxury Collection Munich, and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is quite new, but everything was flawless. From the warm welcome at check-in to the beautifully decorated and spacious room, every detail was perfect.
The bar and restaurant had a great vibe, even on a weekday, with delicious cocktails, a friendly staff, and a stunning view. I even tried their beijinhos (Brazilian dessert), and they were just perfect! Breakfast was excellent and generous—yes, the price is a bit high, but the quality is definitely worth it. I was lucky to try the traditional Bavarian breakfast with sausages, pretzels, and beer, which was a unique experience!
The staff was incredibly attentive, and I’d like to give a special mention to Pirverdi, who handled my check-in, Lana, Viktoriia, and Hable, who took great care of me at the restaurant and the bar, Maximilian, who introduced us to the Bavarian breakfast, and Anna, the concierge, who was absolutely adorable and gave me amazing recommendations for my stay. Thanks to her, I even spent one night in Salzburg!
On top of that, the hotel has a great location with easy access to everything in Munich, making it the perfect place to stay.
Thank you all—I will...
