Pizza Hut Restaurant am Stachus — Restaurant in Munich

I had lunch with a friend. As soon as we walked in, one of the waiter said something in German and pointed to a sign of which we understood nothing but waited patiently. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated and once we were, the table was dirty and had not been wiped off properly.

We had to wait another 15 minutes for the waiter to come to our table, only to rudely scream at us that outside drinks weren’t allowed in the building (in English). If he had asked nicely, he may have gotten a tip but it doesn’t end there. We order our drinks and food. We had to wait 25 minutes for 2 small pepsis, which is outrageous if you ask me.

The waiter had no idea what we ordered even though we ordered from him and gave us the wrong size of drinks. We waited yet another 20 minutes for our pizzas, which were greasy and he still didn’t keep track of which table ordered which dish. From where we sat we could also see he was nice to people who spoke German but never even smiled at us.

As a waitress myself I know that it can be stressful but it should in no way affect the customers and yelling at paying customers is a huge no.

I would definitely NOT recommend this place as there are way better places to eat in Munich with much better service. My friend who also visited their bathroom said it was disgusting. So, in conclusion, I would never eat here again and if you don’t speak German, I highly suggest you find somewhere...

I'm still in a state of shock quite how horrifyingly bad the service is in the Pizza Hut. The waitress was clearly angered that we did not speak German, and made ZERO effort to be helpful

She asked 'What do you want' my reply was can we see a menu please !!

The menus were thrown on the corner of the table !

The fun started when I requested a coke refill, she stood and argued for 10 minutes that I had not ordered a refillable coke, so loosing the will to continue the argument we agreed to order a 2nd coke

This coke was promptly slammed down in front of my 13 year old son !!!

Then the pizzaa then arrived, got dumped in the wrong place then she stormed off

Pizza now finished we proceeded to wait for 1 hour 20 minutes being totally ignored, I eventually got hold of 'the manager' while he was shouting over our table at some other unhappy customers, he knew dam fine we were unhappy at being ignored, he couldn't care less

Anyway, this is where the aggressive part comes in, when i complained about the bill, he gathered a few of the waiters around blocking the exit of the restraint, and demanded I pay in full, which I did

I asked if he was the manager, he scream something in German then threw the receipt at me, whilst pointing to the exit

As I said, I'm still in shock ??

As an American, I have to say that I think the Pizza Hut here is way better than back home. Most pizza huts are not a dine in place rather a take out, so it was nice to be able to sit down and enjoy our pizza. I’ve been to this location twice now but this last visit was very unpleasant. The waitress who greeted us barely greeted us rather swung some menus in our direction without even making an effort to hand it to us. She then waved her hand towards the back of the restaurant and said to just have a seat in the back. No idea what she meant because she didn’t even bother to walk us to the table so we picked one we thought would be comfortable and a good spot for our stroller. Rude waitress came up to us and rolled her eyes and said that’s not what she meant. So I asked her in German if it was ok if we sat anyway but she just rolled her eyes again and shook her head. Trying to keep my patience, we didn’t walked towards the back thinking that’s what she meant. But I couldn’t help it and confronted her about her attitude and discussed it with the manager. It really did ruin the atmosphere and I don’t think I’ll ever be going here again. The one near Olympia Park have nicer staff, but then again, it’s Pizza Hut. Can’t expect too much, but still, waitress needs to fix...
