If you see my other reviews hotels are for me about location and access to transportation. Provided free breakfast which was great and the ladies who prepare the breakfast bar were great keeping food fresh and replished. Staff spoke English kindly to help me an other travelers. Rooms were clean and well maintained daily. The front desk staff were so kind and knowledgable to help me with maps restaurant recommendations and just helping with safety tips as a single woman traveler that's a pool cmm plus. They reminded me of my dad and welcomed me every morning with a smile and asked did I need anything. The surround area is like central New York but I'm a city girl so it worked for me. So close to all the tourists attractions and they can arrange cars for airport and help you find tours. I felt welcome, wanted and cared about by the staff which was awesome. I will return again to enjoy the hotel. People will say my rating a bit high or based on people which is true but also my room was nice and large (see photo) with daily housekeeping and free breakfast come one people what more could you need? Near tons to restaurant ( great mix of food) and clothing shops and souvenirs places. Close to the big flea market too. Enjoy because I will be back.

😑 We made the mistake of booking Ambrosia Suites & Aparts in Athens because it was the cheapest option in the area and we did not read any Google reviews. 🏘️ 👎 The neighborhood was the main problem. It was very unsafe with a large number of homeless people. Several days, we were woken up by fights that broke out. In the mornings, it was easy to come across people using drugs. 🛌 The hotel itself was decent for the price we paid, but the safety of the neighborhood really affected our stay. The room was adequate although it had a bad odor. We had to buy an air freshener. 🤵 The best part of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always very pleasant and answered all of our questions. The breakfast was decent, with toast, cereal, ham, cheese, yogurt, milk, cocoa, coffee, etc. The walls between rooms were thin, so we could hear everything. 👉 Overall, I would not recommend Ambrosia Suites & Aparts due to the safety issues in the neighborhood. However, the hotel itself was decent for the price we paid and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you do choose to stay here, make sure to bring your own air freshener and earplugs.

The hotel had taken every precaution to mitigate this pandemic. The room was clean, spacious and tidy, with toiletries provided. It had an air conditioner and a TV. Housekeeping was done on a daily basis. Buffet breakfast was good, though there were no fruits provided. There was a lift, the staircase is narrow. The neighbouring streets look dodgy but are safe, I walked to the hotel from syntagma square (airport express bus stand) and reached the hotel at around 2am and I didn't face any problems along the way. The hotel is within a 40 minute walking distance to most of the historic sites. My room had a balcony facing the side streets and it was quite noisy at night. There were sufficient power sockets spread throughout the different rooms, with a wardrobe and locker right near entrance. A small fridge near the kitchen sink, along with utensils, bottle opener and cutlery. There are lots of restaurants nearby (omonia square), even the central municipal Athens market is within 10 minutes walking distance.

This was a most horrible experience. I am writing this review to spare anyone else from making the mistake of booking this hotel I booked this hotel through my travel Agent in Canada who showed me this location that looked just fine online. (Pictures can be deceiving so beware). ||We paid in advance as is custom when booking through a travel Agency. When my travel partner and I arrived (July 2022), we were shocked and outright concerned for our safety as the area is quite sketchy. The cab driver did not even seem comfortable as he dropped us off and quickly left. ||||The Hotel is not even a one star, but there is no lesser ranking I can check. The service was poor and the hotel clerk did even seem to want to be there. The elevator seemed unsafe, the hotel room door lock was compromised and not secure, while the room was terrible with an offensive odour. It was later when we arrived, so we knew we had to switch our hotel and do it quickly to find something that was available. We were NOT going to stay there. So within 40 minutes, we were able to open our laptops and book another hotel. Unbeknown to us (due to it being our first time in Athens) there were a LOT OF GREAT HOTELS just around the corner from where we were. We booked one of them that had availability for us (3 nights) and we proceeded to go downstairs to the 1 clerk on duty to ask him for a refund, as we were unsatisfied and leaving. He threw his hands up and said "No refund". I can't help you. Otherwise, "no- it is up to you if you want to leave". ||||So, instead of arguing, we left anyway and emailed our travel agent right away with the formal complaint, since we booked through the Agency. The rest of our stay in Athens was amazing and our remainder trip in Santorini - wonderful. Those hotels were great. When we got back home, our travel Agent said that the hotel, when approached by them still refused to refund any of our money, even for the two other nights and said it was because we did not make a formal complaint. THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE. ||||Thankfully, our travel agent, in efforts to restore our confidence in them, refunded two of our nights out of their own expenses. But the hotel was a hard NO. ||||And so, before you book the Ambrosia Hotel in Athens Greece, I hope you read this. If you are looking for a safe (truly three star) comfortable, clean and safe hotel DO NOT BOOK WITH AMBROSIA SUITES. It was and is a VERY poor representation of a Beautiful City. The most I can do now, is to warn anyone considering staying there by giving this honest and accurate review. -First time to Athens,...
