Óstria — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

A small hotel with rustic charm set in the most beautiful location on the island of Lefkada.||I cannot write in words how beautiful the setting is so you will have to trust me, when you see the beach you will utter one word 'wow' - I guarantee that! ||Hotel Ostria is managed by Noemie, a lovely young French women who together with her staff will make your stay a wonderful one. There are 12 rooms each facing the Ionian Sea. The hotel is elevated by about 70 metres so the view over the cove is spectacular (especially at sunset). You are 3 min walk away from a number of restaurants and bars as well as general shops and of course the amazing beach. ||Accommodation is simple but very practical. As I mentioned rustic is a word that comes to mind but it's a calm type of rustic. Everything is perfectly clean and fresh and our sleep was a good one. Breakfast is available for 5 Euro and the bar downstairs is open till after 10pm for a drink and a snack. Wifi was available in the common area where breakfast and the bar are located. ||My one regret is that my wife and I only stayed one night as we were passing through and stumbled in Lefkada at the last minute. I could have easily stayed 4-5 days and totally chilled in this amazing...

We stayed for 9 nights, everything was amazing, starting from the authentic greek architecture and interior decoration, to the food served at breakfast and the well known greek hospitality. Dora was the most welcoming and perfect host for us. Everything was clean. We saw some bad reviews about the bathrooms, but trust me, as a 2 m tall man there was no problem, everything was perfect. Sleeping to the sounds of the waves and waking up to the view of the sea was out of this world. Will definitely come back and cannot reccomend it enough. 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach and the restaurants. Even if we worried about the parking spots, you should know that there are cameras in the city and agios nikitas is very safe, we always found parking spots when we came back after exploring the island. There are perfect snorkelling spots just under the hotel (the right part of the beach) Thank you Dora for everything and we will surely see...

I will try to not go to much details. ||||1st incident:||Once we entered the room we realised that this wasn't the one we booked via booking.com- booked and paid for triple room but they gave us a double room. ||They didn't inform us when they gave us the keys for the room but only when we went back to reception to complain about it.||||2nd incident:||They wanted to kick us out earlier than the check-out time explaining that this is according to the covid 19 regulations. I would expect let us know about this the time we received the keys during our arrival. After we complained the owner came very agree to the reception complaining as we are creating troubles and destroying her business.||||I hope these kind of businesses will be kicked out from the booking engines in some point so we all avoid...
