Maistros — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

We've been to Greece in August 2024 and were accomodated in Agios Nikitas. We only booked a double room with breakfast, especially, to be able to try the local food in the taverns in Agios Nikitas. And exactly the tavern Maistros was the best place for us to eat, during our holiday - we went there for four times to have diner. And to forestall ist - we weren't disappointed, rather we were deeply impressed from the perfect starters, fish, salads and noodles we've had, from the really good tasting wine, the more than friendly staff and last but not least from the extremely pretty and homey location just a few meters near the sea. This is a really awesome place: You can sit inside the tavern in the general room, outside under a thatched roof with grapevine or right in front of the tavern directly in the alley, that leads you direct to the sea in less than 20 seconds. This is better than cinema and you can't imagine, how many differnt people you'll see, when you sit there having your meal or just a glass of wine. When we'll visit this spot again, we'll for sure visit this tavern (probably not only once) and enjoy the Greek...

The place is fantastic! We can see the beach from here and the beautiful sky of Lefkada. It also has a small garden which is very cute, but we prefered to sit on the front.

The food was excellent! We had the shrimp linguini and the salmon risotto. We also tried the 'savoro' dish which is local and the veloute fish soup. We reccomend all of them.

The area has some bees, so if you are allergic be careful. However, in the restaurant, when bees were near our table, the owner helped and we were just fine.

Service is probably one of the best on the island so far. Despite the fact that everyone is very polite on the island, this restaurant was more than that. The - probably- owner of the place had very positive vibes and served with a smile the whole time. All employees were fast & working happily.

My review is for Maistros. Once of the worst food I have tasted the last years! The Maistros salad was “dry” only with a little sauce and mostly with lettuce, the fried feta with honey was very deep fried almost brown, the Greek salad small and with a little olive oil. The man dishes were worst.... the risotto with mushrooms and truffle was not risotto and no taste of truffle, the stuffed burger with feta was burned from one side but the taste was quite good, the special plate tenderloin with Jack Daniels sauce was not something special and the sauce was not for sure Jack Daniels . The best of the plates was the beef with onions but far away from the homemade taste.... The only good thing was the polite waiters! Last but not least two plates were broken at the ends........better to taste...
