Maria Filippa Rooms Agios Nikitas, Lefkada — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

The accommodation is located in the most beautiful (in my opinion) area of ​​the island. The accommodation has its own parking facility, which I consider as necessary especially during the high tourist season. Access to the pedestrian area and to the beach is made easy by a path starting from the main street and ending at the pedestrian walkway almost at the height of the beach. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. We had a comfortable stay (2 adults and 1 child). The furnishings and equipment are fully functional. The mattresses were in good condition. The view from the rooms is stunning, as the settlement of Agios Nikitas, which is very picturesque and the Ionian Sea, spreads out. Finally, the hostesses (mother and daughter) are very friendly and hospitable and were very helpful at all. As soon as we arrived at the accommodation after hours of driving, the young hostess offered us a very cool coffee that we appreciated it a lot (thank you Angeliki!). The map and the details that gave us were very informative about our holiday and we appreciated the time she spent. Also, on our departure, she allowed us to leave the car in the hotels' parking, but also our stuff in her place, so that we could spend a little more time in Agios Nikitas . In short: it is a very decent and very clean accommodation with a beautiful view in the best area of ​​the island without unnecessary luxuries and with very hospitable hosts. I highly recommend it for couples as well as for small families. I would certainly stay there again!

Κατ' αρχάς το κατάλυμα βρίσκεται στην ομορφότερη (κατά την άποψή μου) περιοχή του νησιού. Ο οικισμός του Άγιου Νικήτα έχει χαρακτηριστεί επίσημα ως παραδοσιακός και προστατευόμενος. Τα δωμάτια βρίσκονται επάνω από τον κεντρικό δρόμο και είναι προσβάσιμα μέσω μίας ράμπας με αρχικά μεγάλη κλίση που οδηγεί διαδοχικά σε ένα άλλο κατάλυμα και στη συνέχεια στο Maria Filippa Rooms. Το κατάλυμα διαθέτει πάρκινγκ, που το θεωρώ απαραίτητο για διαμονή στον οικισμό του Άγιου Νικήτα ειδικότερα την υψηλή τουριστική περίοδο. Η πρόσβαση στον πεζόδρομο και στην παραλία του οικισμού είναι εύκολη από μονοπάτι που ξεκινάει από τον κεντρικό δρόμο και καταλήγει στον πεζόδρομο σχεδόν στο ύψος της παραλίας. Τα δωμάτια είναι όμορφα και πολύ καθαρά. Το μέγεθός τους είναι αρκετό ώστε να εξυπηρετηθούμε άνετα (2 ενήλικες και 1 παιδί). Διαθέτουν δύο σχεδόν ανεξάρτητους συνεχόμενους χώρους (διπλό κρεβάτι στον ένα και πρόσβαση στο πίσω μπαλκόνι, μονό κρεβάτι στον άλλο και πρόσβαση στο μπροστά μπαλκόνι όπου είναι και η είσοδος). Η επίπλωση και ο εξοπλισμός (μάτια κουζίνας, ψυγείο, κλιματιστικό) είναι πλήρως λειτουργικά. Τα στρώματα ήταν σε καλή κατάσταση. Η θέα από τα δωμάτια είναι εκπληκτική, καθώς απλώνεται μπροστά σου τόσο ο οικισμός του Άγιου Νικήτα, που είναι πολύ γραφικός, όσο και το απέραντο γαλάζιο του Ιονίου. Τέλος, οι οικοδέσποινες (μητέρα και κόρη) είναι πολύ φιλικές και φιλόξενες και ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετικές σε όλα. Μόλις φθάσαμε στο κατάλυμα ύστερα από ώρες οδήγησης η νεαρή οικοδέσποινα μας πρόσφερε ένα πολύ δροσερό καφέ που τον εκτιμήσαμε πολύ (ευχαριστούμε Αγγελική!). Ο χάρτης και οι λεπτομέρειες που μας έδωσε ήταν πολύ κατατοπιστικές για τις διακοπές μας και εκτιμήσαμε το χρόνο που διέθεσε. Επίσης, κατά την αναχώρησή μας, μας επέτρεψε να αφήσουμε το αυτοκίνητο στο πάρκινγκ του καταλύματος, αλλά και τα πράγματά μας σε χώρο της, ώστε να περάσουμε λίγο χρόνο που θέλαμε ακόμη στον οικισμό. Με λίγα λόγια: είναι ένα αξιοπρεπέστατο και πολύ καθαρό κατάλυμα με πανέμορφη θέα στην καλύτερη περιοχή του νησιού χωρίς περιττές πολυτέλειες και με πολύ φιλόξενους οικοδεσπότες. Το προτείνω ιδιαίτερα για διαμονή, τόσο για ζευγάρια όσο και για μικρές...

very friendly and helpfull People here you we feel the greek hospitality.They have lemon trees and i just Talked about it with the old lady and she wanted to give us a bag full of lemons.And she did.They wanted to make us Coffee every day and they gave us every day advices about everything.They helped us a lot.We didnt use that much the air conditioner because the climate is bearable.we also had two nice balconies in the front Front and one in the back, so we could watch the sunset.

Everyone write about the Roads.I broke my foot 5 weeks before i went to Agios nikitas and it was not so bad for me.thats why the View is so amazing Guys because its very High and you can see all this magical blue sea you will not regret it bilieve me.oh!and also the bus station is about 5 min or maybe less from here .there is a bus who travels like 10min. or Something very short time and it drives you to an Organised beach Wich it's called Kathisma Beach.We were almost every day there.It is a very big and beautiful Beach.It is more comfortable than the agios nikitas Beach because of the space but for small kids its better agios nikitas.Kathisma Beach have some big waves often...

If you have to open the door to your room just to see the view, and that room is the extra guest room, which we weren't sleeping in anyway, than I don't consider it having an ocean view, as was described. If I had been traveling with my best friend, this place would've been fine, I just didn't find it romantic in anyway. It was also the first time in my life, as a night owl who works late at night, that I had to ask the neighbors and their small children (at 1:30 am in the morning) to be quiet as I was trying to fall asleep. Not the owner's fault but the design of this house, with it's small window and wooded shutters would work better as a Swiss chalet in snow...
