This room was perfect for us, as we don’t like to sit in resorts all day, this hotel is perfect for exploring Chania and Crete in general. It is located in possibly the prettiest street in the old port, on the doorstep of all the beautiful restaurants and local shops. It is only a ten minute walk to the bus stop to explore all the local towns and beaches and from the point where the coaches for excursions collect you. There is a beach walkable from the port but we much preferred to get the bus out to agioi apostoloi and the other beaches on that cove; only 1.20 euro each and very regular. Julia, the manager, was very helpful, giving us her phone number to ask for information any time of day and advising us about the best local attractions and how to use the buses. Our room was on the second floor, we did not have a balcony or a view but had a little drying each outside our window to dry towels and things which was very useful. It was always clean at the end of the day and the air conditioning was a god send. All in all, a practical, cute little room in a perfect location with the most friendly staff. Thank you for making our first visit to Crete so perfect, I’m sure we...
Read moreNot only were we impressed with the comfortable yet aesthetically rustic accommodations and ideal location, the staff (particularly Julia) are extremely kind and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and smooth. ||Complete with comfortable amenities: (request a room with AC) refrigerators, furniture, beds, vanities, closets there are pleasant balconies overlooking the charming Old Town streets. ||Julia was extremely receptive to our messages, provided tons of info on the town, itineraries, events and the surrounding area. When we visited the south of the island by way of hiking the Samaria Gorge, they offered to hold on to a suitcase for us despite the fact we had stayed at another hotel our second night in Chania! (Fivos was full or else we would've stayed a second night.) Upon returning to Chania, we stayed again at Fivos. Another very nice night. ||In short, we highly recommend for anyone looking for affordable and wonderful...
Read moreMy stay at Fivos was amazing. The host Julia was so welcoming and she helped me to find transportation to the beaches. As a solo female (my first time traveling alone in Greece) I was surprised that the area is quite crowded and full of restaurants and shops to explore. I felt safe and comfortable staying at Fivos. The rooms are equiped with everything you need for a short time trip: toiletries, hairdryer, iron and even beach towels (you have to pay extra but it is quite a lifesaver when you travel with a backpack);coffe mashine, cettle, fridge, AC. The room is having also a lot of sockets, if you have to charge a lot of devices. Balcony is fantastic! You have a partial view to the sea and at night moon is also visible. I must stay it was quite noisy, cuz you are literally on one of the most crowded streets, but you can sleep with earplugs. They clen your room every day and trash is also being collected. I think this is a perfect room/hotel...
