KonMari Chania — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Konmari Boutiques Suites is a group of apartments conveniently located in a lovely and quiet pedestrian street in the Old Town, 5min walking from everything. They are run by a nice young couple, very close to guests and quick to answer (there’s no reception). Apartments are super-modern as they have been recently refurbished with high quality materials and private Jacuzzi pool. Attention to detail is everywhere: marble on the floors, nice décor in all rooms, functional bathrooms with bathrobes, fully equipped kitchen, free wine bottles. Special note for the high-tech A/C system and the extremely comfortable beds.||Our apartment was small with little place to drop our things, we trusted the “professional” pics on Booking website which give the impression of spacious place… but it is not the case. One bedroom was ok but the other one could only fit a small-size double bed and nothing else. None of the bedrooms has a window (!!) so no way to get night breeze in the room, you have to rely on A/C during night - which we do not like.||About the private Jacuzzi pool: this is clearly the house’s signature so go there if you love it. It’s nice and fun, and very romantic, but it also overwhelms everything else…! The pool is built in the basement and its humidity comes inside the apartment from there. A portable dehumidifier fights against it but it also buzzes 24h (!) and you have to empty it every 6-8hrs (!). We were quite annoyed that when water in the pool goes below a certain level, so an automatic tap drops water continuously even during night – very noisy. Jacuzzi lovers might like all this, but it was not our case.||Price was 136€ per night...

I stayed here for 5 nights for my birthday. Prior to booking, I did find quite a lot of hotels in Chania quite expensive so I stayed in this aparthotel. I had arrived in chania very early as I came by overnight ferry from Athens. It was about 7am so wasn't expecting to check in this early. When I had arrived at the hotel, I noticed the door was locked and there was no open reception but there was a contact number to call. I rang the number to say I had a reservation and asked if can I leave my luggage in the reception and come back to check in as I wasn't expecting a room ready that early. After a short wait, a lady, presumably a housekeeper let me in and luckily she said the room was already available so I managed to check in early. I got given room 9. Upon entering, room was very nice, spacious and clean. Everything was equipped with towels, shower gel fixed on wall, room safe, there was also some cutlery and plates if you wanted to bring some food back, a coffee machine with pods so that was nice for the mornings. Since this was an aparthotel, breakfast wasn't included but that wasn't an issue as there were many places to eat near by. Location is very central, about 5 minutes walk to the harbour, felt safe walking around including late at night. Overall, very good aparthotel and I would definitely recommend...

Μικρό δωμάτιο, χωρίς μπαλκόνι, με δύο παράθυρα, κάτι που δεν βοηθά στο να αερίζεται καλά και έχει ως αποτέλεσμα το δωμάτιο να μυρίζει υγρασία. Παρ' όλα αυτά όμορφα διακοσμημένο! Τοποθεσία καλή, κεντρικά! Δυσαρεστηθήκαμε βέβαια από το γεγονός πως από την πρώτη κιόλας μέρα με το "καλημέρα σας!" η υπεύθυνη έβαλε τις κοπέλες που καθαρίζουν και μας ζήτησαν να εξοφλήσουμε το ποσό που είχαμε κανονίσει. Με το που πατάει το πόδι ένας επισκέπτης στο ξενοδοχείο δεν είναι αυτό το ΠΡΩΤΟ πράγμα που θα κάνεις ΕΑΝ θέλεις τουλάχιστον να λέγεσαι επαγγελματίας. Βέβαια την ίδια την υπεύθυνη δεν την είδαμε ποτέ, μόνο τα λεφτά μας ζήτησε μετά την "καλημέρα"...
