Maro Rooms — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

We were 4 people travelling and had booked 2 rooms.The bathroom is not shown with pictures on booking-sites, and now we know why! The bathroom in one of the rooms was very disgusting! See the pictures I've posted. The bathroom was dirty and with lots of mold in the shower area and around the sink and toilet. The toothbrush glass was dirty/moldy inside. And after using water (sink/toilet) the smell of mold spread to the Whole room. The bathroom door could not be closed properly. In the second room we rented there was a very big dead cockroach under the bed. If this room had been properly cleaned before our arrival this cockroach would'nt have been there. We checked out the next morning and when the owner inspected the bathroom with us he just shaked his head and said that this room was ok. We tried to say that we would pay just for one room since the bathroom in one of the rooms was in better shape. The owner's respond was that we could behave like this in "Europe" but not in Chania. So, we payed for 2 rooms for 1 night so we could leave this terrible place. We've travelled quite a lot and this is by far the worst bathroom we've ever seen. This hotel is totally NOT what it looks like in Booking.com pictures. Questionable hygiene. Tiny, stifling, dirty, old rooms. Horrible service and staff. We found hair in the shower of the two rooms we booked, toilet's placed in kind of a wardrobe and the door doesn't close properly.||At 1AM we met 2 of the biggest roaches I've ever seen (they were the size of a Clipper lighter) in the rooms. The owner was totally rude, saying LITERALLY that's what we could expect from the cheapest hotel in the city and refusing to cancel charges. Finally we came to an agreement of leaving the place (at 3AM) without any charge, but he still tried to get paid for a "no-show". I wasted a lot of money calling Booking.com's customer service from abroad to avoid this payment.||Honestly, I've travelled quite a lot and this is by far the worst hotel I've ever been to. Seriously, try to find somewhere...

We needed a room just for one night, so we found Maro rooms on google. Just infront of the place, on the entry, there was a guy setting on chair, drinking Raki, probably drunk, and he sead like :What do you want ?? - We: hello, we need a room, for one night, do you have one ? Yes, we have! So, we went to have a quick look how is the place. - The place was wery wery dirty, the sheets was not changed fresh ( i think ), than toilet was dirty and the air insidethat place it was stinking and smelling like i dont know what.So we didnt want to stay there, even if that place was gratis. We understand that the place is old, but it need to be at least clean . On our way out, the guy was yelling and screaming on us, allmost he fight with us . So this was my first and last bad experience in Chania, so my advice is to avoid that place ! Also the owner should be kind with his...
