BLUE WATERS MYKONOS — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING!!!!!

We booked the Blue House on 8 February for our stay in March 14th. When we made the reservation, we requested the transfer from the airport to the hotel. No one contacted us to get our flight information. I emailed twice with zero response. I called the Friday prior to our arrival and a man said someone would call me right back. I waited until Tuesday and called again. Again, I was told by a man someone would call me right back. Katerina did return my call 20 minutes later. She told me it would be €30 to have their driver pick us up.

Shortly after arrival to the accommodations, we wanted to get in the hot tub and relax after traveling for nearly 30 hours. The hot tub was empty, meaning no water at all. When I messaged Katerina to ask, she responded they don't fill it until April. When I replied the hot tub was one of the main reasons we booked here, she didn't respond or make an attempt to say they would fill it.

She then provided me the incorrect WiFi password. The TV in the living room was not functioning correctly.

Our first night, I started crying that this is not what we thought we were getting. The next morning my husband found us a place that their hot tub was filled and ready for use. Although that place was not to open til the following day, they prepared our suite and invited us to stay within an hour.

We used Katerina's driver and again she said the charge was €30.

After a few days on the island and using the taxis numerous times and only paying between €15-20 per ride. The rides were much further than Katerina's driver took us.

I messaged Katerina stating we felt we were overcharged. We paid the same rate as if the tub was ready for use. I stated I felt we were overcharged for the transfer. Especially since the site says free transfer from airport to the accommodations. Although we had booked and paid for 5 nights, we were not asking for a full refund, but a partial refund.

She got extremely nasty and lied. She claimed they didn't fill the tub because of the winds and for safety. Mind you it was only windy that day (the 5th day we were on Mykonos). She clearly forgot she had messaged me and said it wasn't open until April. She also stated I should have known it was off season and the transfer wasn't free. That I agreed to the €30. I only agreed because she said it was off season and taxis are limited off season and don't come to the property. Those were lies. She said we must have used illegal taxi service and she charged less than the law allowed. It doesn't matter what is allowed my law, it's what is right. She refused to refund us any amount.

We also would say if you have young child DO NOT BOOK here. They could easily fall off the cliff and onto the rocks and into the water. It is very dangerous for little ones.

Before booking, you need to confirm with the host (if you can reach them) if everything is working and the tub is filled.

If we ever go back to Mykonos, we will avoid this place and go where we stayed. Villa Elina Suites and More!

We had a fantastic stay at the Blue Waters Mykonos house in Ornos — the location simply can’t be beat.

The house is bright, spacious, extremely comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Every window and door opens to a sea or horizon view.

One of the most appreciated perks was the daily cleaning service, included with the house. Coming back each day to a fresh, clean, beautifully kept home with clean bathrooms and gleaming floors was an absolute treat. We also received fresh towels delivered daily, which was a huge bonus and added to the overall comfort and sense of care.

And then there’s Katerina, the host — a true gem. Warm, welcoming, and deeply professional, she answered every message within moments and made us feel completely supported throughout our stay. She also has a local team that can handle anything quickly and efficiently. Katerina is without a doubt a true superhost who genuinely cares about her guests' experience.

Words can’t explain just how amazing our experience was with Blue Waters. We stayed in the Turquoise House. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the most beautiful and friendly host (Katarina). The home was immaculate and so spacious but the location was the best part.
