Mykonos Dove Beachfront Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

Hands down the greatest hotel me and my girlfriend ever stayed. Service, staff , food and accommodations were at 5/5 Stars! Truly an unforgettable experience for the two of us and I am forever grateful. I planned on proposing to my girlfriend in multiple different islands with no luck with finding photographers, locations , flowers or something to wow her. Let me start by saying when I reached out to the hotel Joanna responded to my email immediately and not just with yes or no. She told me she is here to help with anything i need, she then sent me an email link with all of the services they provide to build my own package. From sunset dinner on beach to photographer to music selection, candles and a neon sign! She went above and beyond for me from day one and i can never thank her enough. We arrived at the hotel with personal pickup feeling like royalty and that service never ended from start to finish! I was able to communicate with her 24/7 through whatsapp and down to the final message “were ready for you guys” to leave our room for a magical night. As we left our room the manager was outside our room with staff cleaning the walk way and leaves for us to get unforgettable pictures where he was kind enough to take the photos for us, before walking us to the hotel doors. This was the best experience i have ever had and Joanna and the rest of the staff were nothing short of Amazing! The beach club was absolutely stunning from day beds to cabanas on the best beach in mykonos, to drink and food service right to your chairs provided by the staff constantly walking around checking on you to make sure you had everything you needed. We brought goggles and snorkels and were able to swim with beautiful fish daily. The truffle pizza was to die for and the continental breakfast was phenomenal, not the typical (American) continental breakfast but gourmet eggs & greek pastries. Pick up and drop off transfers to all beach clubs, bars and restaurants were so easily made either through contacting Joanna or the front desk and everything was made so simple and easy by these amazing and kind people! I will be forever grateful for the phenomenal staff here at the dove beachfront hotel and we will be coming back many more times to stay while we visit Greece! My 2nd consecutive visit in Mykonos. First day we arrived and no concerns from a long flight. When having the buffet, I didn't think twice that the food could have any problem and had two more consecutive days of the buffet. Soon after, I never thought of why my energy levels were lower or confused and I was unable to come to terms until I realized it was from their buffet. Protein options were high in sodium and sweets are loaded of sugar. Eventually, I had developed a bowel/gallbladder discrepancy, and most days I had to rest during my only yearly vacation. When my friend noticed my condition got severe, he approached the front desk and they don't have any authority to make any accommodations to just checking people in. (Everyone except the manager is an intake advisor). When we had to leave sooner, we had a second reservation and we informed them that we had a medical emergency they would not accommodate the other reservation to get cancelled.They referred us to their 3rd party reservation desk and they would avoid taking any accountability and turn you down with no human kindness/understanding. Their entire staff/team at the hotel was very nice. The entire purpose of their 3rd party reservation desk is to avoid direct disgruntled interaction with their conceiege to limit discrepancies from being projected by other guest at the front. Meanwhile with limited sleep and rest caused by the firmness/ discomfort of the "economical/basic" beds we paid a premium for a summer rate, I was unable to sleep and for the first time besides covid. I was coping wth a survivial mode than enjoying my only vacation with such pain from my stomach and joints. It felt like I was practically sleeping on the floor. Later, I contacted them to see if I could see their gym to better release my body's discomfort, and they told me that their gym was still under maintenance. ! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS REVIEW ! Checked into this hotel and had a page in my PASSPORT RIPPED OUT, if you are a tourist and want a holiday with no headaches, DO NOT, stay at this hotel as they will guarantee you do not enjoy your stay and ruin your entire holiday. I had the floor manager rip a page out of my passport when scanning it. Causing the biggest headache for me and my partner on our supposed holiday. Having to leave Mykonos 3 days early to catch a 5 hour boat ride to Athens so that I could get an emergency passport from the consulate. This was not done in time for my next flights to Turkey, holding an emergency passport also meant I was unable to fly home to Sydney with my original flights and stay in Dubai for business for a week as paid for and planned. I have lost over $20K in additional and unnecessary costs (continuing to pay for my accommodation at this hotel even though I was in Athens due to their negligence, paying for new accommodation in Athens, rebooking and paying for new flights and accomodation and visa for Turkey as I couldn’t go there due to my torn passport as well as not being able to go to Dubai for business (You can’t travel there with an emergency passport) losing my pre paid accomodation and flights there and back to Sydney. As well as rebooking and paying for new flights to Sydney not to mention all of the fees incurred from cabs to and from the consulates) due to their negligence and only received $200 euro for the boat ride to Athens out of the floor managers pocket. This is an absolute joke of a hotel and the owners are far too inadequate to run a business that it really is laughable. They have no longer replied to my messages and have not done anything to help the situation that they have put me in. I genuinely do not have any words. Do not go anywhere near this...
