One Star is Too Generous – Avoid This Hotel at All Costs

If you love your family, value your health, sanity, and sleep—stay far, far away from Mykonos Gem Suites.

We were promised a nice, comfortable room. What we got instead was an overheated sauna with a broken air conditioner, in the summer heat, no ventilation, and zero accountability from hotel staff.

Miserable Conditions: The heat was unbearable. I started experiencing shortness of breath, intense perspiration, and physical discomfort just from being in the room. We couldn’t even sit still without sweating. We tried opening the windows—but the constant noise from outside was so loud that sleeping became impossible. Between suffocating heat and blaring sounds, we got zero rest.

When we informed the front desk, their “solution” was to move us to another hotel far away—late at night, with our luggage, family, and no safe transport options. They didn’t care that we were exhausted or that we had loved ones nearby. Not even an offer to assist with the move. Just a cold, dismissive “take it or leave it.”

We kindly asked for a discount or compensation for the sleepless night due to broken AC, stress, and ruined day. Instead of empathy, we were met with rudeness and hostility. No refund. No courtesy. No professionalism.

We were groggy, stressed, and miserable the next day. Our limited time in Mykonos—wasted. This hotel derailed what should’ve been a special, joyful trip.

Final Word: Do NOT book here. It’s not worth the gamble. Faulty facilities, inhumane heat, unsafe “solutions,” and staff who act like guests are the problem. Go anywhere else with...

small charming hotel in the heart of mykonos town, one step away from the shopping center and nightlife. few very stylish and spacious rooms with terrace. equipped with all comforts: TV with access to youtube and Netflix, espresso coffee machine with pods and a large, comfortable bed with soft topper and pillows in different hardnesses. nice stylish bathroom with double sink and super comfortable shower. a pearl for an excellent holiday also seen the kindness and availability...

Stayed in this hotel in July 2022. Staff was super nice. But the hotel room door faced the restaurant which we didn't realize turned up the volume to 100. The music was so loud that sometimes we even felt like we were part of the 'party'. The music even was on till 3 am one night. So do not come to Mykonos Gem to get a good night rest. (Btw the tiramisu from this restaurant was bagging) But would NOT recommend staying...
