We spent 7 nights at Tagoo Hotel, in October 2024. We received a warm welcome and got shown to our room, which was very nice with a sea view. The room clean and serviced every day. Both cleaners were lovely and very friendly, we enjoyed chatting to them. Breakfast by the pool certainly was with a view, we loved the setting. The method of ticking options from a list was somewhat unconventional, but we did get used to it. Both members of bar staff offered good customer service and made an effort to talk to us and get to know us, which was great. There was an interesting selection of items for breakfast, however, the cooked items, such as the sausages and eggs etc were all slightly bland. We were hoping for better quality. One morning during the week, Kate was in charge of breakfast service, and unfortunately the customer service very much suffered. It seemed like she did not want to be there, no smiles, we felt like an inconvenience. At one point, a cat wondered near our table and as we dared to reach down to him, Kate shouted at us, with a stern NO, and grabbed the cat away. This could have been done in a much friendlier way, asking us politely not to pet the cat. We felt like we were told off by a headmistress! However, the majority of the staff offered great customer service. The pool area was kept clean, and we always managed to get a sunbed, whatever time of the day it was. The uphill walk back from town can be slightly strenuous for anyone with mobility issues. Something like a golf cart service to and from town would be a really useful addition. If Mykonos prices were more reasonable, we would probably return, however, a lot of meals and activities were out of our price range. Read moreThe first impression was great, but a few hours after my arrival two guys shouted down from the pool terrace asking if I‘m coming to the pool to swim. I felt very uncomfortable. A short time later they started cat calling me, like: „Pretty please, come to us, come to us!“ A few hours later I reported that to the reception. I also told them that I thought the guys were employees of the hotel. The output was that I got ignored by all of the waiters the next day. I was sitting at the pool for 3 hours in the evening, wanted to order something, but nobody came. I could sense that the waiters were looking at my and talking behind my back. I spoke to the manager the next day and she was constantly telling me that the cat calling could not happend at the time that I‘m telling and that the guys were probably gests. To be honest: I just wanted to give the manager and the reception a heads-up. I don‘t care if the guys were gusts or employees. I thought that they might want to retrain their staff and watch out better for inappropriate guests and comments. I thought that they will make me feel more comfortable. Instead I got ignored by the staff. A very unprofessional way to handle such a situation. I have never experienced something like this before and it somehow ruins my stay. Read moreWe booked 4 nights with Tagoo, arrived and initially everything seemed fine, we were a little disappointed with our room a bit basic and not quite the sea view as advertised. We came quite early in the year and it became clear it was out of season and there weren’t many guests, this unfortunately meant that the hotel were going through some minor refurb works that went on until 9pm. We weren’t pleased as this was happening next door to our room and was quite noisy on the day we arrived and wanted to sleep. I spoke with reception who, to their credit, went and stopped the workmen immediately and were very apologetic. The following morning the lady at reception couldn’t have been more apologetic and helpful, she came up with the solution to move us to a hotel down the road, it was an obvious upgrade at no extra cost. What I will say is although this was disappointing, it wouldn’t stop us staying here again. The staff, all of them, were very friendly and helpful, pool and bar area had stunning views, the room wasn’t the best you’ll find on the island but it’s good for the price, I would recommend staying here despite the issue mentioned.
