Overall terrible experience. This place is overpriced, confused about food, and amateur in service. waiter was confused about the degustation (prix fixe menu) and seemed to make it up on the spot as a combination of some of the appetizers and entrees appetizer was a subpar feta tempura, that broke apart instantly and did not taste like quality feta that we had elsewhere on the island. It’s pairing with the watermelon was underwhelming at best I ordered the lamb, wrapped in grape leaves. It was the driest lamb I have ever had. It tasted as if it was microwaved for too long. The grape leaves had no flavor. The best thing about that dish was the beans and cranberries, but even they were lukewarm my wife had a lobster dish that was drenched in some kind of mayo based sauce and served on top of what tasted like a big cheez-it. It crumbled instantly and even looked like an oversized cheez it. finally, the waiter brought out a complimentary drink that was supposed to be served with lunch the whole time, the waiters seemed a bit confused as to why we were even there. The whole place was empty and when we asked about the nightlife, the waiter said that there wasn’t any really and that it was about the beach parties. Afterwards, we went to little Venice, which was crowded with people. This was supposed to be a nice meal for my wife’s birthday, but it ended up being the worst meal of the trip. It was so overpriced. I had a great pork souvlaki afterwards for 5%...
Read moreWe had a dinner at Narcissus during our stay on Mykonos and truly enjoyed the experience. We came right for the sunset and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the sun setting behind the sea. We both tried the degustation menu prepared by the chef of the restaurant. Each course left us speechless! The cuisine of the restaurant seems to be Mediterranean and Greek, with traditional meals re-interpreted. We tried the meat version of the degustation menu (you can also go for fish). It included even more diverse plates than we expected, each of which was carefully composed. The tastes were sophisticated but also familiar. My favorites were the appetizer, feta tempura with watermelon, and Santorini’s aubergine with beef fillet. But all other courses were also beyond great! I paired the menu with some Greek red wine which our waiter recommended, and really enjoyed it. The staff was very attentive and nice. The evening at Narcissus became a highlight of our stay on Mykonos and I will...
Read moreThe view and atmosphere was amazing, however, the food was disappointing consider its price point.
The menu has limited choice and some of the items were not available. The home made bread was ok but was overpriced, the waiter didn’t inform us we have to pay extra when we asked for more. Also the first time they served pita bread and they brought us home made bread later.
The lobster spaghetti was a bit disappointing as the lobster was not fresh and the lobster meat was off. You can taste the white wine they used to cover up the bad quality lobster. At a price point of 58 Euros, we were expecting high quality lobster. When we told the waiter about the lobster, he insisted it was fresh and refused to gave us any compensation.
In short, save the money on food and spend it on...
