We stayed at the Grimani for 3 nights in Room 2 on the top floor, front. Nicos was very welcoming and showed us up the 50 steps to the room. It looked very fresh and nice with a lovely mirrored wardrobe. There were no drawers though. It was quite spacious although the balcony was narrow with a good view towards the castle. The bed was big and quite comfortable. The bathroom was decorated in metallics and looked great. However the shower was a bit small and the door didn't work properly. Unfortunately the drain in the floor was rather smelly so we had to try and remember to keep the door closed. I know this can be a problem in hot countries. We had plenty of clean towels and bedding. We didn't have breakfast.||The location was really good being a short walk to the seafront and also just down the street to the start of the old town. The lovely extensive park area was just around the corner and beyond that the newer town with the locals' tavernas. Avranatia beach was about a 10 minute walk but they were closing it all down when we were there.||We enjoyed our stay and thought it was...
Read more😊: The room was nice and renovated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is good.. 😢: Overall, there is a lack of maintenance. There may be some last moment problems, which I understand, but not all of it.
First of all, there is no elevator, so you have to climb the steep stairs for two floors. Keep it in mind if you have heavy luggage with you. However the host was very nice and offered his help.
Secondly, the fridge in the room didn't work. Again, the host allowed us to use the one at the reception.
Then one of the doors in the shower cabin was missing🫤 and the mosquito net was broken (not that we used it, just throwing it all in).
Maybe standalone the rating would be higher but compared to other places we saw in Greece I feel that the price was a bit high for what we got.
Hope the owner will see that...
Read moreThe hotel is located just a couple of minutes walking from the old town of Nafplio in a quiet area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no elevator and there are quite a few steps to reach the room but this wasn't a problem for us at all. The room was big enough, very cozy, clean and nicely decorated. Soft bed and nice pillows. The TV is a little bit difficult to use it as the buttons do not work properly. When you take the key with you the power goes off and when it's cold outside it need some time for the heating to warm up the room. There is also a kitchen where you can take the breakfast in the room any time you want. Very convenient! This place is a true value for money place!! We will come...
