From the outside, it seemed like an interesting place, but once we sat down, we realized it was complete chaos. There were only available tables inside, so we had to sit indoors. Unfortunately, the waitstaff were rushing around, creating a noisy and chaotic atmosphere. It took a long time for us to get menus and place our order, as the servers weren’t attentive. We were really hungry and only wanted pizza, but by the time our pizzas arrived, we had already been sitting in the restaurant for over an hour.
Since we were starving, the five of us ordered five large pizzas. The taste was average, but the portions were enormous—none of us could finish our pizzas. When we were ready to leave and pay the bill, we asked several different servers, but the check didn’t come. My wife had to go to the counter to pay and ask for the leftover pizzas to be packed. Even then, he had to wait for a long time because the staff were busy chatting amongst themselves. When he came back, he was handed ridiculous aluminum foil containers for us to pack the pizzas ourselves, instead of providing proper takeout boxes like they use for deliveries.
In short, this is a restaurant with no concept of customer service, and we regretted sitting down. I definitely would not...
Read moreLet me start by saying that the staff were really polite, friendly without overstepping and helpful. The atmosphere is really nice and well cared for, one feels very comfortable there. We ordered two kinds of pizza. The price reasonable, the size gratifying and the toppings of good quality, the tomato sauce was really tasty and the crust scrumptious. But, although the dough was obviously well made the bottom crust was excessively thin (and no it's not how "real" Italian or Neapolitan pizza should be - I should know have eaten more than my share) and due to the heat of the sauce and the tomato it became so soggy that it essentially vanished, we were unable to pick up the piece and eat it and using the knife and fork wasn't that much more helpful either. As a result although we did eat the pizzas it was a problematic experience. But as I said the ingredients and sauce really tasty so if they get around that issue I can only assume it will be superb. We didn't try any other dishes but I imagine they are tasty. (Pet friendly...
Read moreRaucously good pizza at spectacularly low prices. Neopolitan style with light airy crust, gloriously wet in the centre and topped with high quality fior de latte and of course Mutti pomodoro. This was genuinely top notch pizza. Something I’d expect on the streets of Naples, not in a quiet seaside town in the Peloponnese. Beware, the portions are mountainous. The caprese salad was spiked with beautifully tangy tomatoes and the pesto dressing packed huge flavour. This place lies just outside of the trendy old town but don’t let that put you off. It’s a must visit. They even do burgers and bao buns for heavens sake. To top it all off our server Makis was a delight. All smiles and genuine joviality. And of course the bill was pleasingly low....
