Starting with the reasons why this was for us a 4-star place, it may be a 5-start for you if you don't really care about the below:1. You can't really get by with a car into Nafplio old city, so the best option is the huge free parking of the port. The problem is that depending on the season it may be full and very hard to find a close parking space (like in our case)2. The room light switches layout can drive you crazy. Too many switches scattered throughout the room just to get decent lighting and as a bonus, if you want to turn on the light in the bathroom, the light in the entrance will turn on together with it...3. Nothing to blame the owners for, but the apartments have wooden floors that make walking in the room a noisy experience and if you have a couple in the apartment above that decides to do an in-place running as a morning routine, you will have a rather unpleasant wake up noise... And now for the good part, which was really good all in all. The communication with the receptionist was very good. We got his cell phone and he assisted us with all of our requests. The location of this small hotel is perfect. The room itself is very spacious, with a very good mattress, sofa armchairs and small desk. There is a very big cabinet with four drawers for your clothes, but unfortunately no shelves in the big unused space of the cabinet. The bathroom was really big with a nice Jacuzzi bath. The welcome package consisted of a bottle of dry white wine with tasty flavored breadsticks.
Upon checking-out the hotel oeprator greeted us with a complimentary coffee to-go, a small gesture that makes you leave the place with a smile on your face....
Read moreWe ended up at these suites following a muck-up with another accommodation house in Nafplio that despite us having written confirmation of a booking - they had no record. So after a few phone calls from our contact in Greece, they found alternate lodgings for us here with no advance notice.||||This accommodation proved to be a more than acceptable alternative. We were right in the centre of the old town. The host Panagiotis was excellent. Took our bags up to our room on the 1st floor - showed us around to ensure we were happy with the room. Then he left a complimentary bottle of wine in our room which we found after coming back from a walk.||||The building and rooms are over 200 years old but despite the age are in excellent condition. Our room had dual balconies - one off the main bedroom and one off the bathroom. Both facing the respective alleyways that the building sits betweeen.||||Panagiotis gave us plenty of tips on where to eat, what to see and do. When we said we were going to the local beach, he left extra towels in our room.||||Breakfast was not on site, but at a bar/cafe a 2 min walk away. We were able to choose a few different choices from their al-la-carte menu i.e. not all food options were available. But what was available was OK for us.||||It's a boutique hotel so the front desk is not always manned - but Panagiotis provided his card with his mobile # if we needed to contact him. Saying that, most times when we left the premises he was at the front desk anyway.||||The old town of Nafplio is excellent - lots of great stores, bars and restaurants. The fortress is well worth a visit -...
Read moreWe took a shortie as a couple for 3 days, everyone who's asking for a moment of silent away from troubles and daily routine is asking for a great experience too.
Room: We took the Attic suite and it was big enough though, there is much space. The bath was marvelous and perfectly designed, including the Hydro massage. Of course, the view from the balcony can not be forgotten, imagine this as you like (day, night, rainy, sunny etc.).
Staff: No comments here. The smile in their face, their will to help you and their communication is more like having a friend by your side rather than a "stranger".
Place: In a short path in the centre of Nafplio, that means a lot. Silent enough with the benefits of being able to take walks in the city etc.
We will recommend this to others and of course we will visit it again in the near future. Extra thanks to the Staff,...
